A Hidden Gem in the Hills - Khee Homestay, Upper Mamring (Sittong 2) I rarely write reviews, but this place genuinely deserves one. Khee Homestay is not just a stay--it's an experience. Tucked away in the serene hills of Upper Mamring, Sittong 2, it felt like stepping into a peaceful parallel universe where everything slows down in the best way possible. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like long-lost family. The hosts are some of the warmest, kindest people we've ever met--helpful, attentive, and always smiling, yet never intrusive. Their hospitality didn't feel like a service, it felt like genuine care. Every interaction came with that homely warmth that's hard to find these days. The cottages? Unreal. Perched on a slope with a view that honestly looks photoshopped, these charming wooden cottages have the perfect blend of rustic character and modern comfort. Ours was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully done up. The toilets were super accessible and spotless--which, let's be real, is a huge deal when you're staying in the hills. Hot water, good pressure, and no weird smells. Win. Now, the food--chef's kiss. Everything is fresh, seasonal, and grown in their own farm just a few feet away. Imagine waking up to piping hot momos, fresh-picked vegetables, handmade pickles, fluffy puris, smoked chicken, and some seriously soulful dal--every meal was a legit spread. And they don't just give you the same thing every day. There's variety, and it reflects their love for good food. You don't just eat here--you feast. There's a sweet little trek nearby that takes you through bamboo groves, orange orchards, and misty trails that seem straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie. It's not too long or intense, perfect if you want to soak in the vibe without gasping for breath. And coming back to hot tea with mountain breeze on your face? Elite. What makes Khee Homestay special isn't just one thing--it's the combination of soul, scenery, and simplicity. It's one of those rare places that manage to be both laid-back and unforgettable. Whether you're looking for a detox, a soulful trip with friends or family, or just want to feel grounded again, this place delivers. Would I go back? Without a doubt. In fact, I'm low-key planning my next visit already.

Best homestay. I stay with my kids & elder parents. And enjoy every moments. Foods are from their own garden which is healthy and tasty also.And the staffs & owner are really good, helpful and caring. Wish to stay more days on there with refreshing sunrise and full of oxygen.

Yeah, finally we came into this hamlet(upper Mamring) with a lot of ups and downs road and found a couple of delightful stays. On the lap of hills and a bank of waterfalls will really bring you to another world... Yeah, definitely it does not have as much altitude as the others villages have... But we found it somewhat special; in the very first day we were offered pork chowmin(although it's as per our choice, not mandatory). It was delicious.... And then we were provided with a local expert driver who had good communicating skills as well.. We had a nice trip around and we celebrated together as a friendship day... Will visit again...

A beautiful place. A home away from home. Excellent hospitality offered by owner Timothy Mukhiya & lovely food preparation by sweet girl Chumku. Clean spacious room & friendly atmosphere. Only negative point is the bad road conditions
