Hotel Shantinivas - Tarapith

**Hotel Shantinivas, Tarapith - Disappointing Experience** I recently stayed at Hotel Shantinivas, Tarapith, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The quality of the food was good, and the staff seemed friendly. At first glance, the room appeared to be decent. However, the issues became apparent soon after we settled in. One of the major concerns was the bathroom. The sliding door didn't close properly, which was a huge inconvenience. Additionally, there was a strong, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, making it difficult to stay in the room for long. Another huge problem was the mosquitoes. There were so many of them, and we had a sleepless night due to constant biting. The hotel provided a very old mosquito repellent machine with a mat, but it was completely ineffective. As for the bed, it seemed clean at first, but after a closer look, there was dust around the area. This added to the discomfort. Given the combination of these issues, I cannot recommend Hotel Shantinivas. It was an unpleasant stay, and I will be looking for other options the next time I'm in Tarapith.

Just less than 10 minutes within walkable distance of the temple . Very neat & clean hotel . Had booked several rooms for a large group of people . Arranged everything with good food (breakfast, lunch, snacks , dinner) . Excellent food quality & staff is very helpful. Has elevator facilities as well .

We 12,family members visited Tarapith on 15/11/24 & boarded at Hotel Shantinivas & checked out on17/11/24. Rooms are not spacious .From breakfast to dinner all the meals we have taken there. We are satisfied with the quality of food. Manager of the hotel is very efficient & caring. All other staff members are very cooperative. Everyone of us enjoyed their hospitality.

We visited Tarapith recently & stayed in this hotel. Location wise good and rooms are quite clean. Additionally the behaviour of room service & housekeeping staff were very polite.

Room properly not clean and brathroom not a good space . Not a good pellow. But service a excellent

THE HOTEL SHANTI NIVAS IS VERY GOOD REGARDING ALL ASPECTS. THE LOCATION IS VERY GOOD, IT IS VERY NEAR TO THE TARAPITH TEMPLE. THE FOODS ARE VERY TASTY, HYGIENIC AND EASY TO DIGEST. THE SERVICE IS VERY GOOD. THERE IS A RESTAURANT WITHIN THE HOTEL AT FIFTH FLOOR. THERE ARE AIRCONDITIONER MACHINE, TELEVISION AND ATTACHED BATHROOM WITH COMMODE AND GEYSER.

Dirty and smelly bedsheets and blankets. Cockroach in bathroom. Ill mannered people in reception. The fan regulator in our room didn't work. Water drips from AC right onto your face while in bed. Parking was not provided although it was assured over the phone that parking is available during booking. We reached the hotel at around 12:00 AM in the night and it was raining heavily. The receptionist said that parking is not available in the hotel and asked us to search for car parking in nearby parking lots. We had to run around for around 30 minutes in search of parking space completely drenched in rain, waking up guards in those parking lots. Most were either full and one of them said they don't allow cars from Hotel Shatinivas. After a lot of requests and considering our condition he agreed to allow us to park for Rs 250. During checkout all of these were mentioned in the reception and we requested discounts because of their poor service and that we had to pay for parking from our own pocket. They misbehaved in response. If you are expecting minimum hospitality then this is not the hotel to book. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.
