Taki Municipality Guest House

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Taki Municipal Guest House. The staff's behavior, particularly towards younger guests, was incredibly rude and unprofessional, which left a very negative impression. The rooms were in terrible condition -- poorly maintained, untidy, and far from comfortable. To make matters worse, the food was below average in both taste and quality, adding to the overall frustration. I would strongly advise travelers to explore better alternatives in the area, as this guest house fails to provide even basic hospitality and comfort. Definitely not recommended.

Excellent meal service. You can buy coupons and then anytime you can have your meal (till 5 pm I guess) at a very reasonable price. The taste of the food is good enough.

Food is great. Have visited this place ( only for lunch) on 2013, 2022 and 2025. Never dissatisfied. Very economical and good bengali food served.

Food is home made and really good. But in terms of hygiene, cleanliness, they lack a lot. I am giving 3 stars just for the food.

Pathetic service I have ever seen. Room Condition - Broken table / No proper paints / Uncleaned floor / Doors conditions are almost broken. Food quality - Average Service quality - Extremely poor . They don't even supply eadiable water & for that every time you need to go downstairs to collect. Cable connection is present but without TV. Moreover we were supposed to check out early morning and accordingly we informed them earlier to open the main door. And while in the morning we knocked & called the staff to open they don't even bothered to hear our knock. Finally I have to jump the main doorto reach the station. I am very frequent traveler & had stayed many GOVT guest houses like WBTDC / WBFDC / YOUTH HOSTEL etc ... But I had never faced such horrible experience. I will strongly recommend not to stay here & with the similar budget you can find many private guest houses around. @taki municipality - Please focus on some maintenance part & groom your staff .

Food isn't good. Quality of fish is very bad.
