Hotel Sonar Bangla Taki

This lovely property, situated on the banks of the Ichamati River, offers a serene and delightful atmosphere, ideal for a weekend escape. The rooms are excellent, and the service is prompt and attentive. We enjoyed our stay in the Duplex villa, which features two double beds and two bathrooms. The view from the balcony of the river is breathtaking. The restaurant provides satisfactory meals, and there's also a charming cafe and a rooftop lounge. Overall, this location is perfect for a tranquil overnight or two-night stay.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sonar Bangla, Taki. The overall ambience of the hotel is quite pleasant, and the location is excellent. The food was delicious--breakfast, in particular, stood out for its quality and taste. The service in the dining area was commendable, and the Food & Beverage team demonstrated superb hospitality. However, I found the room experience to be disappointing, especially given the tariff of Rs. 6720/- per night for a deluxe room. The room cleanliness was below expectations. There appeared to be no effective pest control, as the room had a significant number of mosquitoes and flies. The towels provided were stained, which further reflected poor housekeeping standards. As someone from the hospitality industry myself--I am a professor at a Hotel Management College--I believe it's important to share constructive feedback. While the dining experience and hospitality were excellent, the housekeeping services were severely lacking. Additionally, I was in Room 102 and had requested a swimming costume from housekeeping three times during my call, but it was never provided. Overall, while the food and hospitality were impressive, the shortcomings in room hygiene and housekeeping resulted in an average experience.

Well maintained property, serene, rooms are big with adjoining balcony. Absolutely perfect for a family staycation. Staffs are equally co-operative and have given anything whenever needed. Food was customised as and when requested. I will suggest the rooms over the cottages

I went to Sonar Bangla Taki for a staycation right before my birthday with my family and my bestfriend. I am out of words to describe my stay there... It was such a dreamlike experience.. They decorated my room with balloons and birthdaybanners.. Even my friend asked them to bake a spcial cake for me which was such an amazing surprise.. The rooms were very well maintained.Chef Partha was very efficient. He knew just the thing we wanted to eat there.. The quality and quantity of the given dishes was outstanding. Apart from him the employees named Rudra, Ayan and Sanu were very polite and very efficient.. In one word they all made our stay super special.. Would definitely like visit again soon.

Hotel Sonar Bangla, Taki, offers a beautiful and comfortable stay with a scenic view and a relaxing ambiance. The hospitality and overall experience were pleasant. However, the bathroom cleanliness and hygiene could have been better. The food was just okay--not very flavorful--but the Chicken Tandoori was excellent and truly stood out. The complimentary breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. With some improvements in food quality and hygiene, the experience could be even better.

Booking directly from the hotel with 50% advance, discount and advice on options helps. The Premium Room (corner room) accommodates 3 persons and has a view on 2 sides (balcony and glass side). Size is 225sq ft. Lush lawns with well maintained plants. Food is good. Lovely Assam Tea bags of Flurys (more available on request). Complementary breakfast is very good. The double set curtains can be adjusted for heat blocking / complete shade. Daikin AC and 2 fans ensure complete coverage of room.

Went with my mother and brother on 25.03., and stayed for 3 nights this time. Our earlier experiences there have been good, and that's why we keep going back again and again. The experience this time was so exceptionally good, that I, on my own, asked Mr Mijanoor to send me the link where I can leave a review. We had booked a duplex villa. The acco was top notch as usual, but what what surprised us this time was the superlative room service by EACH one of the on-duty staffs. Sorry to remember only one name, Sk Atanu Mondal.|Now comes the food part. Quality and variety of the food was great as usual, but our dining experience was made heavenly by the sincere and heartfelt services provided by Mr Mijanoor and Mr Rajeswar. They made us feel completely at home with their care and attention to details. They made our stay very very special. |Many thanks to all for making this a great stay.
