Banabani Resort & Aranyak Restaurant

Following the visit to the Sonajhuri hat, all 4 of our family were hungry and looking for a worthy restaurant for the late afternoon lunch. After a few hits and misses, we reached this one, thought of giving it a try, and parked our car. It was a great experience altogether. Let me elaborate: 1. Location: Right on the main road, it was readily visible. One cannot simply miss this while passing by. This place is amongst the sal and segun trees, giving it a genuine forest like environment. Apart from the now and then traffic, it was mostly quiet. 2. Ambience: We came here for lunch, and entered the restaurant right away. The decorations on the way in were nice and welcoming. The pathway of slabs on cobblestones were looking good too. The interior had amber lighting. Music was apt for the Shantiniketan vibes. AC was working fine. 3. Service: The staff were cordial right from the parking lot. We were greeted well. It was roughly 20 mins of wait for the dishes to be served. Everything was neat and clean around, and they responded well whenever requested for. 4. Food: We ordered rice, dal, katla with fulkopi alu jhol, and the chef's special mixed veg. 3 bowls of rice was enough for 4 of us. 1 bucket of dal (yet, they served dal with mini buckets) is good enough for 4 people. We ordered 2 unknowingly, and 1 bucket was wasted. Every one of the dishes were delicious. We were really happy with the mixed veg. Katla could have been better though. 5. Price: I won't say this is a cheap restaurant, but considering the service and quality of food, it was worth it. 6. Parking: They have a large enough parking lot. And it was free. 7. Restroom: Considering the ladies with us, a clean restroom is a must. It was clean and spacious. No unpleasant smell whatsoever was there. Overall, the location is a little away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded central part. But if one has a car and likes to enjoy the serenity and calmness of the forests, particularly for a quick weekend trip, highly recommended. One more thing to add, this place is only a few kilometres away from the Sonajhuri hat.

Very clean rooms, well located and within nature. All the staffs are very cordial, well behaved. Food quality is also good and testy. We had a great time and enjoyed our week long stay.

This is the 5th time we are staying in this property and we just love the overall ambience. The property is very close to Amar Kutir & Sonajhuri hat. It almost nestles in the lap of nature with vast greenery spread across just opposite to the resort. One can spend an entire lazy day by feasting your eyes with the vast greenery. The staffs are very courteous and take care of all your needs with a smile. The garden is beautifully managed and all my family members enjoy the serenity of this place.

A well maintained, clean, and hospitable property just a short drive from Sriniketan and close to the Sonajhuri Haat. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which tasted almost homemade. The staff are very attentive and the rooms are well ventilated with good natural light. It's a bit noisy sometimes with the highway right outside and slightly away from public transportation although the staff will help you get a ride without any fuss.

Rooms were nice, staff were courteous. Breakfast service could have been better. Also, too expensive for a resort in such a location. Super deluxe rooms should be priced at 2500 INR max, not more than that

Excellent rooms and service. Good food. Nice location. Beautiful ambience. All together very good experience. Would like to visit again if possible. Will carry on with the memories of our trip. Thank you.

My in-laws and family were staying last week on this property. The rooms and the services they provided are good. Nice place for family vacation. Lastly the food they served, was finger licking. Also want to say thanks Mr. Abhijit for fulfilling all the requirements i have mentioned. Definitely will visit again.
