Hotel Monarch Aachal

Extremely poor service. Apparently the staff were on holiday and there weren't any substitutes! Rooms and bathrooms weren't great either.

Worst hotel and normal room cost is 3000rs rooms like 1star property I feel like im in 3rd class room not worth it only near is airport that's sit but not worth it this hotel food also just like don't goo there

Clean and nice.... everything was good except for the wine shop at the entry point.

Worst hotel I v ever visit.The management force the staff to save every penny.quality of food is wrost.Drinking water & sleepers are provided only after request.forget about other amenities which we uspect from a 3 * hotel...wrost hotel at all

Not even worth for giving a star .. Room is not at all worth for the money we paid. Sad .

Hotel building is nice from outside and location is good but extremely ill maintained. Water seeps into rooms during the monsoon and it's a pain getting sweepers to clean up the mess. My experience was like waddling in a muddy pool, so much so that I had to change the hotel after two days of stay at the hotel.

Location ||The hotel is located on a busy highway. The traffic is killing. In nights the highway has loads of trucks plying and its too noisy. ||Property ||It looks big and impressive from outside but the hotel is mediocre in all other respects. The lobby is nothing great and the lifts are substandard.||Rooms||The rooms are below average. First night they gave me there so called best room which was facing the road and it was extremely noisy. I couldn't sleep the whole night due to maddening noise of traffic. The room is also designed without a thought and the overall aesthetics of room is poor. The bathroom is tiny and lacks the basic facility. You need to take care of your own geyser in case u expect hot water. ||House Keeping||It was pathetic. I was told that there is just one guy who doubles up as waiter , cleaner and housekeeper. The attitude of the staff at telephone is rude. They refuse even the simplest request saying its night now and we cant do it. We asked for beer and after lot of request the staff agreed to get it from shop. He got boiling hot beer and when told to get ice, he replied they don't have. I faced many other such situations during my short stay. One day I forgot my key at work and the reception told me that they do not have spare key. I waited for two hours for someone to contact the GM for a spare key.||Restaurant||There is a tiny room with 3 tables which is called the restaurant. Food is pathetic, super oily and spicy and tasteless. It can cause you stomach upset if you eat that||Fitness center||Really are you kidding.||Overall.||We stayed in the hotel because the company booked it. I checked out of this hotel after spending two horrible nights. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

A old looking property situated bang on the Asian Highway near Shibmandir en route to Siliguri. Very average facilities. Service is very poor. There's nothing worth mentioning other than the location. The restaurant at the hotel has very few choices for food which too are overpriced. Not a place worth of the money spent by a traveller.
