SONAR TORI - HOTEL & RESTAURANT

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel and restaurant. Sonar Tori is an absolute disaster on every front. First off, the rooms cost 1700 are a nightmare. They're outdated, dirty, and have an overwhelming musty smell. The bedsheets looked like they hadn't been changed in ages, with stains and hairs that made us question if they ever clean at all. The bathroom was equally horrific - mold in the shower, clogged drains, and basin was not working. The AC barely worked, and when we complained, the staff seemed completely indifferent. Speaking of the staff, they are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Any question or request is met with blank stares or outright attitude. We felt like an inconvenience the entire time we were there. The restaurant? Just as bad. The food took forever to arrive and when it finally did, it was cold and tasteless. I'm pretty sure some of the dishes were reheated leftovers. The waitstaff was inattentive, slow, and kept mixing up our orders. Also, prices are absurdly high for such low quality. It's a waste of time, money, and patience. Stay anywhere else but here!

I would give 0 out of 5 for the food since, there is no 0 to rate the food I had to give one star . The food is over priced, the ambience is good but there is only one AC at the top floor that's why the air conditioning was very poor .

Nice place for lunch. They provide good Bengali food options at a good price range. The ambience is nice. Recommended for lunch on route. I have not stayed here so can't comment on the rooms.

Food is good! When ever you run on NH12 towards murshidabad or malda.. willing to halt on Krishnagar.. or may be your travel through those places to Kolkata... Remember to stop by and enjoy the delicacy! Food... music... ambience and point to note.... Parking area for cars and Bikes.. bikers note this place.. can be a better stop from Mother's Hut. We enjoyed our halt.

Excellent place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the way to Mayapur at early morning, we were looking for a place to eat, and found this excellent road side eye catching place. Nice and clean washroom, excellent service. We ordered Alu paratha and puri. Enjoyed the food. I would recommend this place.

Good looking hotel and restaurant at Shantipur. Hotel's decoration were good, restaurant also well looking. Food are also good but high price. Room's inner decoration were good, but bathroom was not clean. Room size was also very small. Manager's behaviour was also not very good.

To be honest it's a classy modern restaurant place, but i do have mixed thoughts. Yes the food is indeed good, but not everything, there are flaws. Only partial of the menu is available with partial of them tastes good. The staff is cooperative. Price is little on the higher side, not too expensive but high definitely regarding the overall experience.
