Roshnai Village Resort

I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. The food was equally disappointing. It lacked flavor, seemed stale, and was definitely not worth the price. On top of that, the service was extremely low and after 10pm you will not get any service asper the staff, and also you can not go outside the resort. We was feeling like we are kept in a compact cage. The worst part, however, was the staff's and gate security behaviour. They were unprofessional and unhelpful. When I raised concerns, they were dismissive and rude, showing no interest in resolving the issues. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and only best part is its near to Sonajhuri Haat. "Owner please look into this matter"

This resort is located right in the middle of natural environment of Sonajhuri haat. All the rooms here are very nice and clean.The staffs here are very cooperative and provide good service.And the restaurant food was also very great in quantity and quality within affordable price. overall I had a great experience staying here.

We booked three rooms for 21st to 23rd November, 2024 from GoIbibo. This property is not at all properly maintained. Photos available in Google and in the travel apps are from the time when it was first opened. There are large patches which appear due to humidity and dirts, with growth of fungus - all over the ceiling, walls and the toilet. The electric cord of the geyser was open, without any proper insulation, and thus it was a risk for electrocution. The dormitory for the drivers is very shabby, warm and humid. We had two drivers who eventually couldn't stay there and we had to take another room for them. We were supplied with blankets. It was not even cold, therefore we asked for clean bedsheets. They couldn't provide those. The bathroom doesn't have any exhaust fan and it stinks, and sometimes the room also. It often had me wish that I had some room freshener with me. |Restaurant staffs are mostly rude. They close the kitchen too early for this time of the year. One of them, while serving coffee in the room, literally had to mention not to spoil the bed sheet with coffee! |This resort doesn't have any open space and no parking facility. They arrange Baul songs in the evening, but as they have no space inside, they do it on the road outside the resort. According to MMT and GoIbibo, this is a 3 star property but trust me, we didn't get the feeling of star rated properties in there. Food is good, bit pricey. Location is great, just beside the Sonajhuri haat. Staffs are not professional and not properly trained. In short, I don't recommend it and will not stay here next time we visit Shantiniketan.

We a family of four stayed at the property on a Saturday. Everything was good except the room size and noise isolation. Food was good. In the night very high noise of coitus was coming from a room Upstairs. It was a full blue film except the visual. Very embarrassing for other room people in the property. The owner needs to take care of noise issue. Not going to stay again.

It is located exactly in the sonajhuri haat beside ram shyam resort. The hotel rooms are nice with a great view from the balcony. It gives you the exact vibe you came for in shantiniketan, a rustic village vibe with very homely meals. The ambience, food, location and the best part is their hospitality. Every time you need something the staff will always attend you. They come and check if you are comfortable with everything. Very glad I booked this resort for my first trip for shantiniketan. Highly recommend them.

Our experience of staying here was mixed one. It is located right at the heart of shonajhuri haat. You can literally walk out from the gate to the shonibarer haat. Now about the rooms. We had 3 rooms in ground floor and one in 1st floor. Rooms are good given the price but there are some problems. Rooms' sound insulation is quite poor and mosquitoes, flies or other varieties of ants can enter the rooms with ease. So if someone is taking elderly people or baby need to be careful. Cleanliness was also not upto the mark in one room. So if someone wants to stay here, can stay for its location if he/she want a place in shonajhuri haat area.

Located just adjacent to the Sonajhuri haat. Rooms are really good, clean and tidy. Bathroom was good. The toilet seat was sanitised. Stuffs were cooperative and good service provided. The restaurant food was also great in quantity and quality within affordable price. Overall great experience staying here with my family for 2 nights!

A great place to stay with just inside Sonajhuri Haat. Small resort, but have all the required amenities. The foods are exotic and the staff are very cordial. In the daytime the outside is little messy, but the nights are pleasant. But the evening Baul soiree appears to be a bit imposed. Parking is common but not problematic. Overall, a pleasant stay at the abode of Gurudev, but a bit far from Viswabharati campus.
