It was a thoroughly pleasant experience. Any issues I encountered were promptly addressed with immediate action. The food served was of excellent quality and taste. The hospitality of the team truly deserves appreciation. What I enjoyed the most was their dining hall--it was cozy, inviting, and perfect for friendly gatherings. The warm and homely atmosphere made the experience even more memorable.

Most aesthetically done place. The concept of mud house and its bohemian finish is amazing starting from the reception to restaurant and the rooms. Its altogether different idea of rooms with pool and cabanas is out of the box. Rustic village charm with reminiscence of Gurudev and the old Bengali luxury. Restaurant serves excellent food and worth the price. Exceptional service staff, spl the guy who manages the reception. Located very near to Rabindra Bhawan and other attractions ( can walk down or take toto). Sparsely furnished keeping in view the aura of the place but placing nightstands would be of great help. Focusing a lit bit on maintenance will keep the place in better shape. Overall an amazing experience, one of its kind boutique hotel standing true to its claim.
The service is really good and quick. The ambience was really nice and peaceful. The food quality and quantity is very good according to the price. Loved the place
This restaurant, located at Ratanpally, near to Amoli Homestay, is a small, insignificant looking eating place, which caters good food at reasonable prices.|Here we had a chinese dinner, starting with Mancow soup with delectable taste. The other items were equally good and tasty. On the other day, we had a Bengali lunch with Mahabhoj Thali. The items were in plenty and could be shared. Again all the items were very tasty.
Worst place in Shantiniketan with sub standard rooms. No amenities and false promises. Avoid at all costs. The staffs are creeps who peep into rooms from outside and make guests uncomfortable. The rooms have cracks on the walls. There is water leakage from the AC and the room service is terrible.
The place prides itself to be a 'boutique resort'. But most of that is only on the surface - the bare minimum standards and aesthetics are maintained to give you a 'wow' feel when you enter the property - what with the lush garden and pebbled paths and wooden seeting arrangements at the restaurant. The restaurant serves good food and can be relied upon. First impression of the room isnt too bad either. But the smell of urine and the bed bugs ruined it for me. The bathroom is utterly disgusting. It was probably built to hang on to the same rural aethetic, but its bad maintainance over the years has turned it into a large, musty room that is constantly reeking of a pungent smell since the floor of the bath area is cemented and hence heavily sedimented, and the exhaust fan does not work. Some other points worth mentioning - 1. The person at the reception was a condescending fellow with a cold attitude 2. Not enough lighting in the rooms - 3 or 4 lamps exist but without lights. Even upon requesting, the lights were not arranged 3. The bathroom exhaust fan was not fixed after requesting 4. The beds were not made during their cleaning service 5. They seem to reserve certain rooms for some selected guests only - upon requesting for a change of room to one that got vacated, we were denied the option 6. There are bed bugs on the bed or in the blankets - sleep was not possible at all 7. Nearby rooms are too intimately connected. From the bed itself you can hear the neighbouring room people using the toilet
Review for Mud House Resort, Bolpur Shantiniketan I stayed at the Mud House Resort in Bolpur Shantiniketan from December 28th to 31st, and it was truly a memorable experience! The resort perfectly matches its name, with its earthy charm and calm surroundings. It felt like the perfect blend of nature and comfort. Each room had a small private courtyard where you could relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The bathrooms were surprisingly spacious, adding an extra layer of luxury to the stay. The restaurant was another highlight - the food was delicious, and the background music perfectly complemented the relaxing vibe. The staff were friendly and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the design and hospitality made it clear that the resort is committed to offering guests a unique and enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy getaway to unwind and connect with nature, I'd highly recommend Mud House Resort. It's definitely worth a visit!
We went to shantiniketan last weekend. Firstly the location is in extreme outskirt residential area. From the google pictures it looks fabulous, but actually nothing is there. It was a pathetic experience. The swimming pool was not properly cleaned. The bathroom area was too slippery. Lights in the aquatic room was too dim. We were having problem to see. Also we had complimentary breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30. We thought we will go have the buffet at 9 am but there was no buffet, we had the call the resort workers for breakfast. They gave some limited options from which we have to select 1/ 2 item. Anyway we selected 1 item but that wasn't available. They suggested aloo paratha, amd we agreed to it and they took 1 hour to serve aloo paratha( tasteless) and tea. Please don't visit
