This place is one of the best home stays I have ever experienced. Host & hostess are just awesome the rooms are very clean food is just out of the world. Price is a steal compared to what they offer. I will certainly recommend this place to friends & family. We will most certainly come back again. Collection of arts namely paintings, artifacts and books in this place are unmatched. The host Shumon seems to be a curator of an art gallery.

The amazing building with an antic touch and exquisite decor houses a gentleman with great sense of warm hospitality who can cook delicious biriyani ! For all of us it was an "Wow" experience because of the homely touch to a star experience . Highly recommended not only for the comfortable stay and food par excellence, but also for the exposure to the enviable collection of photographs and paintings as well as the art exhibitions .

Excellent home. Concept, rooms, Service, hygiene, the home owners have given it all. They personally attend to their guests and families, gives tips and guides about the places to visit with the background of each place. The attendants of the home stay are well trained and well mannered. Must stay place at Shantiniketan.

And the hosts are so gracious..the couple takes no time to invite guests so warmly that anyone would truly feel this to be her own home. A Hidden Gem in Shantiniketan - A Journey of Serendipity and Soul April 9th marked the beginning of a journey that none of us truly understood until we arrived. From Delhi to Kolkata, and then a long, weary five-hour drive to Shantiniketan, four tired souls reached a place known only through whispers and a dream. I had booked this stay on a leap of faith. No photos, no detailed descriptions, no presence on any travel site-just a lead and a glimpse of watercolor illustrations on an under-construction website. It was from these gentle brushstrokes that I recognized the building from afar. A risk, yes-but something about it pulled me in. As we entered the property, the first sight that greeted us was a delicate yellow lily blooming in a small pond-as if it had opened just to welcome us. And then, the house revealed itself: a space so thoughtfully designed, so spiritually resonant, that no photo or word could ever capture its essence. You have to be there. You have to let it seep into your senses. The energy of the place, the warmth of the food, and the quiet grace of the staff-all held a depth that most "retreats" only attempt to mimic. It felt like walking into the pages of Tagore's vision for Shantiniketan-a living tribute to art, simplicity, and soul. Our host, Ananya, brought the place to life. She's a radiant spirit, full of warmth and wisdom, someone who doesn't just host you but invites you into her world. It didn't feel like a stay-it felt like coming home. If you seek a place that inspires, heals, and opens you up-this is it. Even if you don't end up booking, just pass through Srirangam once. On the day we left, I found myself holding back tears, grateful for a space that felt like a dream I didn't know I had.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we loved the house a lot. There is so much attention to detail and art in every part of the house, the rooms are nice and clean , and everything is so beautifully done up that we enjoyed our stay a lot. Sanjay the caretaker is a great cook and you must order the Handi Mutton Biryani from his kitchen, its called Kittu's Flavour, during your stay.

What a great time we had at this extraordinary place. The whole place has been done with touch of class. The host Mr. Shumon was the one of the best host we met so far. The staff too were very professional. And to top it all the mutton biryani was heavenly. Highly recommend this place to everyone visiting shantiniketan
