Santiniketan Retreat

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Santiniketan Retreat Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Santiniketan, this resort offers a perfect blend of nature and comfort. The ambiance is peaceful, and the lush greenery provides a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the delicious local cuisine served at the resort's restaurant. The food was freshly prepared, and the flavors were rich and authentic. Whether you're looking to relax, enjoy nature walks, or immerse yourself in the cultural vibe of Santiniketan, this retreat is an ideal choice. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful environment!

A beautiful, well maintained cozy resort with top service and food. A new resort and still learning with experience. I loved the people here, the service and food quality. You can easily gain a few pounds in a couple of days. The swimming pool is long and nicely decorated with lights in the evening. Just a few things to check on and I'm sure the lady owner I had a word with, will definitely consider. The early tea is not available (they have the tea sachet in the room though), sometimes the security or anyone is not visible in the morning until 7:45, the breakfast is too late which starts at 8:30, so if you're an early riser or planning to go out of the resort in the morning for local tours, you have to be careful, preferably inform the reception the night before. To add, I would also expect a game room or some entertainment facilities as applicable in a resort and I know they have a plan in the near future. The room has a wash-basin, which is nice, however I have found this a little inconvenient as the bathroom/ restroom doesn't have one. Otherwise, everything was fabulous, the owner herself is a wonderful person and the cleanliness, people, food, service just top notch. Go for it!

Shantiniketan Retreat is a perfect blend of culture, comfort, and serenity! Located just a stone's throw away from Prantik Station, this resort offers an unforgettable stay with its Tagore-inspired Kerala-style cottages. The architecture beautifully reflects the essence of Shantiniketan while providing modern comforts. One of the standout features is the longest swimming pool in Shantiniketan, perfect for a refreshing dip. The location is excellent--just a short distance from Sonajhuri Haat and Visva-Bharati, making it an ideal stay for travelers looking to explore the cultural heritage of the area. The food here is another highlight! The lunch is absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend trying the Bhuri Bhoj Thali--a delightful mix of fish, chicken, and mutton, each cooked to perfection. The flavors are rich, authentic, and truly satisfying. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great food, a beautiful ambiance, and a touch of Tagore's legacy, Shantiniketan Retreat is the place to be. Will definitely visit again.

Nice ambience, clean rooms, staffs were very patient towards us. Quiet a good place if you want to spend with your family. Overall had a great experience .

The ambience was good...but staffs' behaviour extremely poor...they are impatient...keep reminding you in every 2 to 3 mins once your lunch or dinner time arrive....charges extra for bringing food to room...and if you want extra chutney or sauce they get irritated...and they brought it after 20 min with others' orders...! If u want to go only fr ambience then u can go...!

Good serene location away from the hustle bustle of the city and offers a good opportunity to relax. The rooms are spacious however the design and placement of the furnitures inside the rooms make it a bit clumsy, especially the wash basin in the main hall. Services are slow. Food is good, however, the authentic Bengali flavor could have made it much more better. One will need to be careful with transportation as there is nothing nearby and the only hope is to get a Toto with the help of the hotel or catch one from the main road.

We are booking a Highest Tariff Room at This property Hawamahal but They didn't prepare the room like Jacuzzi,A.C,Fan was not working properly. After many Phone calls they resolve it.Almost 3 hours wastage from our 1 day trip. We are booking for 3 people and we mention the time of booking but they provided toiletries,Water for 2 people. The room is dirty, door lock is not working properly. Property is good but don't stay in 'Hawamahal' Room. They charge for luxury but give nothing. Thanks to those people who decorated our room for birthdays. I.e. Restuarant Attender is just a barking Dog. Visit this property but please don't stay in any luxury room. They have 0 ideas for top notch service. Please avoid Resturant. Taste is normal but price is like any fine dinning resturant. Dont book Toto from here,This resort took a cut from toto driver.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are extremely clean. Staffs are very well behaved they are always there to help you. We requested them to arrange my mom's bday and they did it amazingly. They know how to make people happy. Their food is very good and homely. Simple yet delicious. You will really enjoy your experience here. Highly recommend.
