Charulata Resort

The property is at very secluded location, recommended to have a vehicle with you. The rooms were fairly ok. But very dirty, the whole room smelled of damp. Repeatedly asked to clean our room. And because the room was being cleaned without Dettol, Phenyl, the room was smelling very bad. The curtains were dusty. We couldn't even watch TV because the TV was broken, not working. There was no Wi-Fi so we had a lot of problems with our own work. Food variety was not available at all. Food quality was okay. 1. We ordered mutton, but very disappointed, not good at all, and the price of that disgusting mutton only 4 pcs 440/- 2. The Chapatis was hard. 3. Aluvaja was not fried properly.

This is not a resort its a residential area with few appartments taken by the owner. Service is pathetic and the service boy's attitude is very bad. Location is far away from Santiniketan. Its located in a remote place no shops are there nearby. Expensive stay. They dont have wifi in rooms neither they have intercom.

As a Driver my opinion to the owner is to please make some good stay for us / them. And specially good toilets and bathrooms needed... The clients visiting the site has a lot of amenities, but taking those pepole safely to their destination is our duty... if we can't sleep comfortably or use safe toilets then its difficult for a person to serve his best. Otherwise the whole are is Awesome. Swimming pool, Mandir, Rooms are perfect... Food quality is also up to the mark...

Property is very good. Loved the swimming pool. Ambience is excellent for a day or two. The rooms are very good although the location is a bit far from Shantiniketan (around 5/6 kms). But service needs to be better. The service people were trying their best but they were taking huge time to cater services. The main issue is that they don't have a restaurant of their own. For lunch and dinner you need to place an order 12 hrs before. Food is a bit costly. Lunch and dinner: food quality was good & tasty and adequate quality. But don't expect any quality snacks there. We ordered snacks (fried chicken) which was pathetic. Overall it was okay.

The place is absolutely awesome and serene with room quality at international standard, only the night dinner you have to order little early as inhouse restaurant is not so big to cater huge crowd at a time... Extra services are too good as we requested for bonfire and local dance experience. ( we placed this request a week earlier.. not available on normal days )

It was overall a poor experience. Obviously the rooms were good, in that case I have no complaints but in terms of service and the host was horrible. No service, no kitchen facility for dinning, TV was not working, pool had dirty water, unhyginic street food was served from outside. We ordered fish however it was smelling. In the name of complementary breakfast they were charging for extra eggs, we were five members and ordered 10 eggs. Overall it was poor and the host was trying his level best to desive everything and at the end during feedback he was quite rude too. Please dont visit this place.
