Best rooms quality and service average and location was so naturally better

Such a big resort but with zero maintenance. Though we pre booked our stay, they cleaned the bathroom after we checked in and informed them. Dust dirt on the balcony, dirty bedsheet and pillow cover. Food was not at all fresh. No taste at all. The unsealed water bottles were provided. During booking, they misguided us about the adjacent sightseeing options. Very bad service overall .

"Frustration thy name is Meridian Eco Village!" Call Subhabrata and he will send you photographs, stay package details and site seeing opportunities via Whatsapp....tariff is attractive.....photos are misleading, beware would be guests! The moment you arrive Ramganga bus stop and enquire locals of Meridian Eco Village you will come to know that you have been duped! Nobody there knows about such a place! Whoa!! Nothing called Meridian Eco Village exists there.... After a bit of due dilligence, you come to know that there is a ship-shaped building at the end of a narrow concrete road coloured in Blue and White called Sundarika Guest House....and yes, that's your destination if you were looking for Meridian Eco Village! Though the "eco village" stuff was at some place else. We only came to know that this Subhabrata guy sits at Kolkata and the facility is in the hands of locally hired staff called Bijan and Jaydeb. There was no cook in the facitlity. There was a unmanned Reception desk at entrance. Bijan and Joydeb were more than genuine and tried their best not to disappoint us too much in terms of our expectations. There were no boarders at the lodge at that moment other that our group of five. The building is a sham in terms of its construction and maintenance. Every place was adorned with cobwebs woven blocking your pathways, every handrailings (not the SS ones) were rusting and flaking out. Washrooms no one knows when got cleaned last, plumbing fittings were never cleaned, toiletary rack over basins were falling apart. Wash basin faucets were rusted and letting erratic flow due to no maintenance. Health faucets were chocked to serve at diminished flow. Exhaust fans were working at select washrooms only. There was a monstrous voltage stabilizer at ground floor beside the stair. No housekeeping staff were seen. We were assigned rooms as committed. Can't comment about the last washing status of the bedsheets/pillow covers. The site seeing itinerary was actually a over-hyped, glorified bubble that bursts on simple enquiry. The Bhagbatpur Crocodile Project was a big let downer. You travel about 13 km from the Pathar Pratima ferry ghat hiring a Toto on return contract ( 400) and loosen all your bony joints due to its hard shock absorbers for such a long journey. The project display of crocodiles were unprofessional obstructing clear view/photography by the visitors owing to dense rectangular wire fencing around the enclosures. Decaying tourist awareness display boards, apathetic staff added salt to the disappointment wounds. We even had to tight rope balance over only two bamboos used as a bridge to cross a trench! Hats off to autorities. Visit to local reserve forests called for permission from competent authorities and no free access. Visit to Gobordhanpur Sea Beach called for at least 1.5 hour one way journey via boat from Ramganga and was not lucrative at all considering worth of the tour content. Don't expect your fishes of choice at Kolkata to be found on the platter at Sundarika. You can only expect chalani Rui/Katla and Parse (if you are lucky). Bijan obliged us with 'dim-bhara' Parse on last night dinner. The only absolute delight was the super spongy rosogollas that can be had of @ 6 a piece in the Sweet shop just at the mouth of the concrete road that starts from the ferry ghat/bus stop end. We even bought those on our return journey home. The panoramic view from rooftop could be ecstatic despite the broken beer bottles that you must be watching out! The staff were either ill-informed or lethargic to tell us about local site seeing opportunities that were possible via cheap boat rides. The owner can at least install a few navigation pointers (sun pack/metal boards) along the road leading to the site to assure the visitors that the property 'does exist' in the direction they are heading. Do advance clean rooms before actual foot fall of the guests.

Location is very good. Enjoyed the Launch ride to Gobardhanpur beach a lot. Warm hospitality is very much commendable . An ideal place for weekend tour. Last but not the least the quality of food was very good indeed.

There was an awesome river view from the terrace and balcony, and the food quality and service was fantastic, The hospitality was really really good, I loved it. Excited for another visit.

Awesome Experience with delicious sightseeing such as Gobardhanpur Sea Beach, Bhagbatpur Crocodile Project etc. Tribal dance organized by the hotel was full of merry making. Ideal for individual as well as Group Tour. More importantly, the food quality provides at-home feelings. Boating experience upto Gobardhanpur Beach is also to be included for 100% enjoyment.

Beautiful place for spending 1 or 2 days. Most delicious is food, each and every item is superb. And the behavior of the staff is so friendly amd helping.

The property is in a nice location, service is also good, ac remote doesn't work, fixed at 16degc, food tastes good.
