Hotel Sagar Ratan

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. The hygiene standards were appalling--dirty bedsheets and pillows, and when we requested clean replacements, we were told none were available. The air conditioner didn't function properly, and during power cuts, it completely stopped working. The staff were highly unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. Essential amenities like bathroom slippers were not provided. Despite charging 1400 + GST, they failed to meet even minimum expectations. Adding to the frustration, collecting the bill took hours as only one staff member was available to process it. A night of my life wasted!"

Nice rooms here also stuff behaviour is too good

We visited purulia in the month of December. The rooms were okay clean enough and bathrooms too. One thing we were disappointed about is that they told us 3 people can stay in double bed rooms, but the double bed room's bed cannot fit 3 people at all even though there is a kid, 3 people cannot adjust comfortably. The tea served here is really good, we received good service to be honest. The only missing part is they have no food services. The location of the hotel is in the local area so outside noises are there due to traffic on the front facing side. Other than that we faced a geyser problem which wasn't solved, but we adjusted. For someone who does not want to stay on the hilltop region can stay here. Recommended!

That' is perfect for only middle class people

Not recommended for tourists. It is a so-so place for people on office tour on an overnight basis and need the room only to sleep. No food available. They will take orders and bring them from outside. Poor overall services. Staffs are cordial though. Rooms are not spacious. Note: There is no proper car parking facilities except a narrow lane beside the hotel, where at most 3 cars can be parked other then the car of owner.

I usually dont leave reviews unless the experience is excellent or disgusting. And to say this hotel is disgusting would be an understatement. This is one of the filthiest and dirtiest hotels in Purulia. The staff are exceptionally rude and ill-mannered. The rooms smell like graveyards, the walls are cracked, and the bed sheets have questionable stains on them. The hotel starts from the second floor and the reception is situated between small offices. The staircases are filled with cigarette smoke with employees from different offices. The owner simply does not care about the pathetic conditions. I would request everyone to stay away from this sorry excuse of a hotel and look for better options. I would be satisfied if this hotel shuts down and it should. Our experience was nothing less than a nightmare and we immediately cancelled our booking on seeing the conditions. Please, please stay away from this hotel at all costs.

I stayed in this hotel at 30th may,2023. I got some surprising behaviour from hotel stuffs. They lied to me, they're asking for extra charges after check out then manager came and helped me. And One thing* I forgot to take My 'good night advanced' you know that's for mosquitos. Maybe this isn't valuable things but I expect they'll call me for that, but didn't call me to take.. I'm very upset with their behaviour.

The hotel authority offers both AC and Non-AC rooms. Size of the rooms is big. A bed can contain maximum 3 persons but they most of the time offer a bed only for two. Rent may vary by season to season and generally stay between 800 to 1200.
