Panchet Residency

Decoration of different cottages are good and attractive, however, quality of food and serving style lacks candidness. Cleanliness in the dining area & wash room area are poor and the system of group buffet needs to be more improvised with dedicated serving procedure. Location is good, ample space observed but maintenance is not up to the mark.

Excellent facilities and very good and polite staff. Food was good. Location was peaceful and pleasant. The rooms have been upgraded and are very nice. Set in the midst of nature at the foothills of a hill, the stay was very refreshing. The prices were very reasonable.

If you are in search of absolute serene & peace of mind by keeping away the week full of busyness, Panchet Residency must be your weekend destination. Nature & some simple & lovely people are always ready to welcome you here. Your day will begin with chirping of the birds & you will fall asleep with the whispering nature. Mesmerizing memory will stay forever with you.

We had opted for Panchet Residency for a single night stay at Garhpanchkot, despite the high prices, because we were not getting rooms anywhere else on a particular date of our total stay duration. I had spoken to a lady on the phone for reservation to whom I had explicitly mentioned that I would be travelling with Senior Citizens. They allotted 5 of us two deluxe rooms in their village mud house themed "Mrittika". The two rooms were in a dark corner, with absolutely NO sunlight entering the rooms. The inside was dark as night all day. The walls did not have any sound proof insulation, and even normal conversation next door was clearly audible. We got really scared when we discovered that almost all the remaining rooms of Mrittika were booked by a large office group. Anticipating a lot of noise at night, we changed our rooms to a suite which costed us way more than what we were originally paying, but we were not left with any other option. True to our fear, blaring music started at Mrittika from evening, which we could hear from a distance at the suite. We had to shell out a lot of money to be able to sleep peacefully that night. I had mentioned at the reception about the shoddy management at the time of check out, but a review seemed necessary given the situation. It is extremely irresponsible on the part of the booking personnel to allot rooms to families travelling with elderly and kids, at a place where you know there would be/might be blaring music and noise. It ends up causing mental stress, and even health concerns for people at extremes of ages. A request on my part to the management to kindly allot a separate space on your very big campus to group bookings, away from family rooms. I guess it is not only themed rooms, manicured gardens, and huge price tags on them, that make up a guest's experience of a resort, but also empathy and thoughtfulness on the part of the resort management. The latter seems to be absolutely lacking at Panchet Residency.

Excellent resort with good spacious rooms. We booked Mrittika. Service is good, but best is food. Book their food package and enjoy the mutton thali served in lunch. Overall very good experience and I have stayed there on two occasions.

This is a great place for booking room and you can also book the whole place for marriage or any kind of party. It has a inbuilt swimming pool. Near two tourist place ( panchkot pahad and panchit dam ). The only downside of this place is that it is one a very remote location. Other than that all good .

Recently while visiting Purulia,We have booked at Mrittika of Panchet Residency Resort.We were of 5 members including two Senior citizens.The rooms which were given to us 130 and 131 at a cost of Rs.5000/- and Rs.5500 per night with no ventillation and inadequate lighting as if you have entered into a cave.These rooms were not at all worth of such high price.When we approached the manager for alternative rooms ,they have shown us a family suit Basera 3 which was better but Rs.17000/- per night.It was said that all the other rooms were booked by a group only we can get one Super deluxe room at Mrittika.Considering the overall environment of Mrittika,during that day We have ultimately decided to shift at Basera 3 by spending extra Rs 12000/- as they did not gave other alternatives.| During the time of booking,they have not told anything about those two rooms of Mrittika which later they have told as Deluxe quality and all other rooms of Mrittika were of Super Deluxe quality and also regarding group booking of all other rooms.|Besides these misinformation provided,the other services were satisfactory including foods and room services during our stay on 08.02.25 at Basera 3 by the staffs of the Resort.||Before booking,it is better to check all informations regarding the rooms alloted otherwise you may land into some trouble.

The place was amazing with its long walkways and incredible jungle like views. The place is great for exploring and had great room service but if you ask for an extra bed once the cot bed is placed it tends to slide around and rattle when you turn. It just amazing and a secret: go to watch tower and act as if it's private property..
