The Garden Bungalow

Our experience at this home stay was absolutely wonderful! The stunning architecture and warm hospitality made it a standout destination. Annyana, our gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible time. Her vibrant personality, paired with the non-stop music and delicious food, created an atmosphere that felt both lively and cozy.||This quickly became one of our favorite vacation spots, especially with the company of good friends. Every moment was a delight, and we loved every bit of our stay. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking a unique and heartwarming getaway in shantiniketon!

Spend one night at this property and I must say the customer service is awesome. The place is quite and great for a romantic getaway and also kids friendly. Lots of birds chirping in the morning will make you feel alive again. Though this is an experience the room tariff is very high but the rooms are not that greatly taken care of. Rooms are spacious but not happy with the condition. This property needs a lot of work when you charge 8000/- for a room. Won't be coming back. Thank you for the good tea though.

The Garden Bungalow is difficult to place. The actual garden is amazing and the highlight of this place. The rooms are large, but there are some problems that stick out in this place. Which makes the value for money low, especially for a prolonged stay. * The staff is friendly but not professional enough. They need a lot more training. * The room tariff is taken 100% in advance. Why? What justifies this policy? * The owners are absent in this homestay, and that shows. * Above all, for the money being charged, the rooms need more work. It's obvious that the renovation has been done by people who aren't familiar with the job. A hotelling expert was clearly not consulted. The finishing isn't good, the details are missing, more comfort could have been added, etc. You need quality people to get a quality establishment. And you need to invest money. It's a pity because this place has all the ingredients to become a truly quality establishment, and a highlight of Shantiniketan.

Stayed at the property for two nights in their first floor large rooms. Found the room full of mosquitoes upon reaching the hotel and asked for a Good night mosquito repellent over and above the existing one. This was given but then the existing one was almost empty so for a new refill which was refused initially but given later. There after ask for two additional bed sheets but again which was refused initially but given later. Had to buy a hit spray from the market in order to cope up with the mosquitoes. |However, the only caretaker available at the property, Mr Pal, was quite attentive and also the lady who was available remotely over phone all a long during our stay was also quite from dinner response. The food was okay but a bit on the expensive site considering the place. The toilets where wet and the plumbing was exposed and I could see molds at the corner and also large cracks on the wall of the room at various places. No exhaust fans in the toilet. The stairc cases were quite narrow and it would be difficult for elderly people to climb up in the top floor rooms.|Overall a very average day and will not stay again.|

The place is away from the main road and Google Map misguided us, for which the management of course isn't responsible. But a few signs along the way would help. The compound is beautiful with lots of tall leafy trees. The room too was large with a gorgeous balcony. However, except for some random mismatched furniture, which were of little utility, there was nothing particularly useful. For example, there wasn't a single hanger for clothes, nor a bedside table. There was one naked bulb and a tube light, the switches for which were far away from the bed. No bed-side reading lamp. No dual switch. These minor comforts may please be provided by the management particularly when the price for the room is 4K a night. Each one of the four employees we met were exceedingly polite and helpful. Of them, Ms Ananya, Ms Rangana, and Ms Kuntala were a delight to interact with. My personal view is that the strongly positive reviews that induced me to select the place were a little generous.

Wonderful resort near sonajhuri haat, well decorated, well maintained property. We went there for a music video shoot. Rooms are good. But we not stay a here.

Best property in Bolpur Shantiniketan for me. The abundance of green makes it a serene and peaceful stay. The rooms are spacious and well-lit with all the amenities. We found the service to be best as well. A must-visit for travellers who like to have the best of both worlds - a quiet and comfortable stay away from din and bustle that's well-connected to the town square. Looking forward to our next visit.

Most willing, welcoming and adjusting management and the magical Didi, the lady who is all in one. . Lots of small things can make things much better. A bath stool in the bathrooms, tea coffee maker in all rooms. They happily gave our group, one with the tea bags, coffee sugar etc. Fresh sheets with the blankets would be nice. They did provide when asked. Daily full house keeping would be awesome additional service. Fantastic ambience and gardens. Very quiet and clean campus. Very relaxing and pleasant stay.
