Hotel Sagnik

Stay for 3 days 10th to 13th April,25 with family (4 person). Good quality of food and resionable price at restaurant attached with this Hotel room service & free Wi-Fi available. Bhagirathi river just behind of this Hotel. Behavior of staff, manager very nice. The TOTO ( Mr.Chootu) provided by the Hotel Manager came at Stn to pick up us & for all local sightseeing including Kashimbazar, Jiyagangh also. Toto woner (Chottu)' s behavior also nice and rate is very low compare to other tourist spot. I highly recommended Sagnik Hotel for staying at Murshidabad town.

Stayed there during holi this year. The experience was very strange. The hotel seems to be existing in the medieval era. 3 of us (friends from our masters) including our respective married partners , making it a total of 6 people and a 3 yr old kid, we booked 3 rooms at this hotel. When we arrived there, not only did they question us multiple times if we were married, because they wouldn't allow 6 friends in this hotel (!!) , they also asked us to tell them who each of our married partners were. So that they would know, who each of us would be staying with. This was utter nonsense and insulting for us. We are all in our mid 30's and being questioned like this was just beyond our imagination. This was absolutely humiliating. And for every other thing, they started mentioning how this was actually a "family" hotel ( dunno what else does it mean, especially when we were 3 married couples staying there). Even for each double bed room, they gave us one towel and told us that all "families" are okay with one towel in each room ! I mean how ridiculous does that sound ! The food at their restaurant was good. But the management again, was pathetic. They trick tourists to make them believe that they don't accept digital payment for restaurant bills which again is a lie , because when we told them numerous times that for such big amounts we WILL make the payment through online, finally they accepted it. All this while, they were just lying on our faces. Absolutely disappointing. This hotel is running smoothly only because there are no other decent hotels in murshidabad. Sad reality. Oh and did I mention, that the ac in one room that we were staying in, was barely working. No maintenance of ac, geyser. The geyser was just NOT working in our room. So took bath in cold water. This hotel management is not at all good and they focus on things like mapping husbands with their wives, and asking 6 working adults about their marital status and things along that line, which is insulting and definitely not at all expected in this century, in west bengal atleast. They should rather focus on maintaining the room quality, fix the geyser, the ac and tv and what not. My humble request to the hotel management: please focus on things that actually matter, that will give tourists a better staying experience in murshidabad.

GOOD FAMILY HOTEL. STAFF SERVICE IS GOOD. HOMELY FOOD RATES ARE REASONABLE. HOTEL SHOULD ACCEPT ALL FORMS OF DIGITAL/ CARDS/UPI PAYMENTS APART FROM CASH AT RESTAURANT & RECEPTION.

Very nice well appointed rooms ....responsive caring staff....good food.... Arranged for a complete tour package with known hotel toto driver..... Hotel premises located 2 min walking from river bank ......had a wonderful time

Mostly it's pretty cheap and dirty hotel. Most of the reviews are paid, I realised, after staying over there for 2 nights. No room service / cleaning at all. You might get if you ask for it. And the restaurant is horrible. 3 of 4 got food poisoning after eating Chicken Handi. Good part is their toto wala. He is pretty good and nice guy. Recommendation: If you are looking for cheap and budget, go for it. But if you can afford better, please stay away.

We a big group was their for 2 days one night, rooms are nice, hospitality of the entire team was too good. We also enjoyed the teste of the food, all are freshly cooked!!

I stayed in this hotel for not more than 15-18 hours but we enjoyes it thoroughly. Even though our geyser was not working they provided us an empty room so that we could use the washroom there. The service was pretty good. The rooms were clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay there even though we were sceptical about it at the beginning but later on we went on ease. They also do provide toto for visitors to visit the place that was quite impressive. Would recommend if you are not on a low budget.

Really lovely hotel for stay murshidabad. Good room. Very good staff. Very testy restaurant. Especially Biriyani. And midium price.
