Ankhaibari Family Village Resort

I recently had an amazing stay at this resort. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed . The resort's central location made it convenient to explore the surrounding area. Additionally, the on-site dining exceeded my expectations, offering a diverse menu with delicious options. Overall, my experience at this resort was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If you are looking for a healthy home like food option go for this resort. Also this resort has a bonfire and barbecue option.

We have recently stayed in this property for a one night stay with family and friends. Location is good, very close to baranti Dam (2 min walking distance). Food are of excellent quality in breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. We also enjoyed a bonfire with berbeque. Staffs are well behaved. Rooms are okay, have split AC and bathrooms have gyeser. But still there is chance of improvement. Most importantly there is a big grassland and greenery infront of the rooms. People can play cricket, badminton or children can enjoy this place. I will recommend Ankhiabari village resort for a weekend stay with family.

The resort is placed between the green nature, but the resort is not maintained the way it should be maintained by the owner of the place. The place was full of garbage throughout the place which also includes plastic waste. Since it's a resort there will be people passing by disturbing peace also the rooms are congested and maintained on an average basis. But comparing with the environment of the place and the cleanliness the food tastes somewhat better but still the behaviour of the serveur is not that good. Also since I have visited this place before twice please look for other options available in and around Purulia and please contact with them in advance so that no problem arises later on between the client and the owner. Also don't fall for the sweet words by the owner claiming that the property is well maintained in order to ensure the true value please visit the place all by yourself in advance if planning to visit.

Had visited Baranti with friends this September. Ankhaibari Resort is perfect for a group who wish to spend quality time away from the hectic everyday schedule. One can enjoy the sight of Baranti Hill and lake from the lawn. The rooms are tidy. The food served is quite good. The meals served are basic yet tasty. The staff are caring and had catered to our needs. We had a great time and Baranti is all about enjoying natural beauty and enjoying each other's company.

We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days and the experience was amazing. Staring from the staffs who were courtious and very helpful. They catered all our needs and demands to the best possible manner.Even the needs of my 3 year old daughter was attended. The property is widespread and the landscape is natural and you will not feel limited within boundary walls like other properties. You have ample options to pick for your stay from tent to villas, mud cottage. It might not be equivalent to a star category resort but it will make you feel close to the nature. Food was simple like home cook meals and quantity was suffcient. There are special arrangements which can be done based on availabity ofcourse. Special thanks to the owner Mr. Pratim Biswas who was an excellent host as well. Definitely worth anither visit. Thank you Ankhaibari team. Wish you all the best and a Happy New Year.

If it was possible I would have given a zero rating. Please do not go by their pictures. They do not have a reception and most important they do not provide any kind of security. There are no fences or wall in the surrounding.Only 6 cottages are there ( 3 houses divided into 2 parts). They have given us a bill of 6000/- (2000/- x 3 cottages). After the final payment has been done and after we left all of a sudden they remember the room rent was 2200/- x 3 rooms = 6600/- . Whereas the actual room should cost not more than 1000/-. Rooms were dirty.Termites were there. They do not have any rooms facilities inside hotels(they have mentioned us over phone) only cottages that too dirty.

Nice resort . Beautiful atmosphere. All the rooms are also good . Room service also very nice. Food quality also nice. This resort not very far from the Baranti Lake .. take 5 minute to reach the Baranti lake by walking and 10 minute by Cars ... But you can see the Lake and Hill from this village resort.

This was the fourth time I visited Baranti and the third successive time when I nestled my stay in this resort. Baranti is a small and remote village in the district of Purulia so you should be mentally prepared not to expect any star facilities at this place. All the resorts provide basic amenities , and Ankhaibari is no exception either. However, the highlight of this resort is its serene location with homely food. The staffs are courteous and prepared to help whenever you need , without any expectation of tips. They arrange you local guide from within their staff-pool, who can guide you to nearby spots such as Ayodhya hills, Susunia Hills, Panchet Dam, Gar Panchkot, Jay Chandi Hills , etc. However , it won't be possible for you to visit all the spots in a single day. Thus it's better to tailor out one's choice and preferences for sight-seeing. Having said this, it needs to be kept in mind that it is not absolutely mandatory for anyone to head out for any sight-seeing , as Baranti itself is a heaven for leisure-seekers. One can sit beside the lake and spend his entire time here. The sunset is particularly spectacular. The resort arranges for local folk songs ('baul-gaan') , but not on regular basis. The charges of food and accommodation are modest. They provide decent accommodation facilities for drivers also, with a basic charge inclusive of meals. Please remember that Baranti is devoid of any decent shops, so don't forget to carry your bottled ammunitions !!!
