Mount Queens Hill Lake Resort & Spa

I am from Nepal, we were two couples travelling. We booked two rooms at this hotel online with the help of a friend. However, my friend mistakenly registered only two people for the booking. When we arrived at the hotel in the evening, the receptionist asked us for an extra 2,000 for each room to accommodate the additional guests. After some negotiation, they charged us a total of 2,000 for adding two more people. They also upgraded one of the rooms to a lake view, while the other remained as originally booked. However, when we checked out, the bill did not include the 2,000 charge. Instead, it only showed about 850 for the room upgrade. It felt like the receptionist had scammed us. We also had a frustrating experience regarding dinner. When we inquired about dining at the hotel restaurant, they told us to call and place our order. Later, while we were near the lake, we called to order food. The chef then demanded advance payment before preparing our meal. The same receptionist who had already charged us extra now insisted on this advance payment. I explained that we were guests at the hotel and would pay after receiving the food, but they responded unprofessionally, suggesting that guests often order and then leave without paying. This was very demeaning and ruined our mood, so we canceled our order and decided to eat outside. After this incident, the manager noticed the situation and asked the receptionist to apologize. He claimed it was a misunderstanding, but we clearly stated that we were staying at the hotel. He dismissed our concerns, saying it was just "nonsense" if we didn't book in advance. Initially, we had planned to extend our stay, but due to these two negative experiences, we decided to leave the hotel as soon as possible. It was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I will not be returning.

It was a memorable experience. The staff members are very polite, cooperative and hospitable. The hotel has an excellent ambience with an amazing view of the lake. They have great food. Overall it was a beautiful experience and we would love to visit them again.

What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. The staff were incredibly polite, warm, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
