Hotel Payal

Currently staying here services are awesome. Very easy to find the location nice view of the lake took delux queen room. Washroom is clean as diamond. Prices are easily affordable. Owner of the hotel and his sister is polite and nice and very very cooperative. I'd recommend staying here .

I am a Hospitality Consultant. So being from the hospitality line, I will give a very candid review here. The Hotel is slightly away from the Mirik lake. Approximately 1-2 kms away. Though it was a four bedded room as per them, but found bed sizes slightly smaller to accommodate 4 pax. We were 2 adults and 2 kids, so somehow managed. Had it been 4 adults, it might have got slightly uncomfortable. Keeping these things aside, hotel was good. Amenities and cleanliness was upto the mark with no complaints. Food quality was good. Hotel also has a bar, though we didn't use it. Owners are very hospitable

After check in, I actually thought I was in the wrong hotel! The reviews did not reflect the reality of this establishment!!|The room was reasonable size & the mattress was soft, there was no chair or any where to sit. |The towels smelt VERY strongly of naphthalene which is toxic & harmful to health. |The staff were not friendly or helpful at all. There was no way to get any tea, coffee or food within the hotel. |Also, the location was extremely noisy with traffic.

This is a family run place and there is no doubt that the owners do their best to make you comfortable. For the price, it is worth it especially considering the service and food. Breakfast of pui bhaji was included and it was good. The rooms have all the basic amenities however I feel that a few simple changes can make it an establishment that can bring up the standard considerably. For instance the entrance should have a name board that stands out, lighting should be bettered at the entrance, along the stairs and corridor since it currently looks a little dingy. Also the carpets look worn and little dirty. Perhaps they can be removed completely. These are the reasons I found it average. Also I did not come across any rooms with a view of the valley or a garden as mentioned in some other reviews. However for the price based on their service I would recommend this as a good budget option

Room- Comfortable but ensure your room has windows. Toilet- not up to mark Staff- above average Food- Good Owner's attitude- somewhat greedy They want to milk money if you have kids between 6-12 years. Lake and serenity around the lake is unforgettable. You'll surely add nice memories in your brain. Take some good snaps and make the journey memorable.

The hotel is wonderful. Well located in Darjeeling, it offers very comfortable room with clean bathroom and a nice view on the valley. The restaurant is pretty good, and so the service is. You can also drink good tea from Mirik with some cakes on the garden or the well decorated living room.

its has been one of the oldest hotel in Mirik since my schooling, due to some work i had to stay there and i must say very good place to stay. the place is clean rooms are perfect and really awesome to be there and loved it to be there.

Nice hotel ..clean and hot shower close to the Bazaar and lake ..non tourist location ..||The tea garden is in front only ..you can trek down to get an awesome view ||Friendly and helpful staff. Everything is close by
