Tarangini Resort is located right on the banks of River Bhagirathi. The place is so serene and peaceful with beautiful scenery. The resort staff are very welcoming and always maintained a polite behaviour and provided everything we asked for at all times. Would surely visit this place again in the lap of nature to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We went there on the 1st Saturday of January 2025. Location is good, scenic beauty of the place , ambience, room decor is fine. Behavior of the staffs are okay. There is tremendous mismanagement in the catering service. Food is ordered from a restaurant outside, heated here and then it is served. We had to wait for 30 mins before food was served .Option of menu is very less, amount of food during lunch and dinner as well as evening snacks were too inadequate. On the second day, hardly there was any item for the veg people and when asked, the cooked stale food on day 1 kept in the fridge was served. The same chutney was served on day 2, and amount of Misti Doi served in the name of dessert was hardly 1 spoon. Tea was supposed to be served in the rooms at 7am in the morning, but was provided when we had come outside for a walk . Located in the serene backdrop of the Ganges, there are ample scopes for the resort to improve their service, and it is urgently required to sustain in this competitive market of hospitality.

We stayed at Tarangini for 2N 3D during week2 of Feb 2025. It was a family outing of 8 senior citizens, one on a wheelchair. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are well appointed with clean king size beds, two cane sofas, a coffee table, TV etc. The ensuite bathroom is big and spacious with a geyser for hot water and other toiletries were provided. The staff behaviour was very courteous and helpful. They were ever ready to cater to any of our requests. The WC flush in one cottage got stuck at around 10 PM and water was flowing continuously. We called housekeeping and promptly one person came to look into the problem. The food served was good Bengali cuisine. All items were well cooked, tasteful and served hot. The snacks served in the evening were excellent. One item was not good - cabbage pakodas; it smelt like the manure used. We had to send it back and they replaced it with lovely onion pakodas. There are a few things that need attention. All rooms should be provided with tissue paper, and the toilet must have a toilet paper roll. As guests of a newly set up resort we must appreciate the teething problems of a new set up. The management appears to have good ideas and I think this resort will be a very sought after short stay holiday destination soon.

Recommendable place, but service needs to improve. For visitors- Please avoid booking rooms frim nirjhorini to nilambori.. Rooms are not constructed with proper quality as I observed. I visited with my friends and family. Resort location is too good. No doubt on that. Price wise also very feasible and food quality also super. Details of cons- 1. The issue that I faced during the visit was allotment of rooms. They had newly created 3- 4 more rooms in the end of the property, out of which 1 (Shaibalini) was alloted to me while the rest were still being constructed. I observed that they constructed those 4 rooms in hurry compromising on quality. The floors were severely releasing water and walls were patchy from newly made paint works. It was a total mess. On enquiry they said all the other rooms were booked. Hence nothing could be done. I thought if there was no room available they should not have taken my booking as I paid full amount but stay wise i faced paint fumes, constant tile cutting sound from other rooms where I was staying with 2 kids. Hence the management should be trained enough on hospitality. However I went there for spending my holiday hence I didnot make a fuss. But my family suffered a lot. 2. Also in the evening the barbeque started too late by 2 hrs while we all were waiting. So timeliness was also a concern. Good things- Apart from the above, staffs were good, very helpful and food taste was also awsome.. Property was well maintained and views were really good. I will recommend this property and request the management to handle bookings and stays properly and train staffs to manage time well.

Nice serene place 3 hrs from South Kolkata. Great riverfront location, nice rooms, good food and most importantly always ready to help and make you comfortable staff. We spent one night and it was memorable. Delicious bengali lunch, bonfire and dinner on large open space was fantastic. I appreciate great customer orientation of the owner Ritwik and the staff esp. Kaka and Sarwajit. Thanks!

Tarangini is best place to relax and get detached from day to day life. Over all everything is good or I would say best. Specially food is delicious and staff behaviour is very polite.

Wonderful experience at tarangini. Pros: very good hospitality, neat and tidy room. Beautiful sunset view & afford Food menu. There assistance for aged persons are really appreciated. Cons: Nothing as such just the road condition is bad to reach the property.
