PALASHGRAM ECO RESORT

Visited the resort this March with my family, and our experience there can be summed up as below: 1. Breathtaking Views: Witnessed stunning sunrise from our room, thanks to the room's glass wall overlooking the garden, birds, hills, and clear sky. 2. Spacious Rooms: Huge rooms with comfortable ambiance and impressive glass wall on one side.They also have a attached balcony in the Quad rooms. 3. Comfortable Stay: Mattress quality was excellent - not too soft or hard, perfect for people with back issues. 4. Food: Delicious - Taste and freshness were like home-cooked meals. 5. Amenities: - Swimming pool - Live barbecue in the garden area (on request) - Purulia chhau performances (chargeable & based on room occupancy) 6. Service: Staff & Owner were courteous, prompt, and helpful. They guided us well for the local sight seeing as well. 7. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Rooms were clean and well-maintained with adequate lighting. 8. Thoughtful Touch: Owner's attention to detail, like baby-proofing furniture edges, impressed us. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

We had an exceptional stay here! The location is breathtakingly beautiful, and the staff are incredibly cooperative, caring, and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. As a family-friendly destination, they even offered child-friendly meals and activities. The food was delicious, homemade-style, and reasonably priced. A highlight of our stay was the traditional Chou dance program arranged for guests. Overall, our experience was truly overwhelming and memorable. Highly recommended...

This is probably the best experience of staying in Purulia. I and my family had a great, comfortable and memorable stay here in a Deluxe room for a couple of days in Feb-2025. This resort has the best location and offers beautiful, charming views of Matha Hill and all around. The room was large having an entire glass wall overlooking the private balcony, the lush green lawns and the hills. There were all necessary amenities in the room, like split AC, LED TV, electric tea kettle with tea+coffee kits, mineral water bottles and toiletries kits. The toilet too was big and clean, with 24-hour hot water facility. The resort is vast, very well decorated and beautified with flowering plants and other trees and plants in the gardens. There is ample car parking space within the resort premises. A nice, large swimming pool was recently added and a new block of rooms is also under construction. There is a pet corner having rabbits and small birds, as well as a Hanumanji Temple within the resort. Live barbeque facilty is also available. The resort has a quiet ambience which we loved most. There is silence and greenery all around. One can hear the minutest sounds of nature, the sweet chirping of birds, and breeze rustling through the trees. In fact, one can easily pass hour after hour just leisurely sitting in the balcony and enjoying the breathtaking beauties of nature. One may also walk around the lawns and gardens for pleasure. The in-house restaurant offered us tasty and hygienic food at reasonable prices, along with free room service when asked for. The menu had a variety of dishes and the quality of food was good, and the quantity was sufficient as well. Breakfast was complimentary as we were under Continental Plan of tariff, and it was prepared live and fresh, was great and homely in taste, and unlimited in quantity. Puri sabzi, toast with butter and jam, eggs to order, fruit juice, tea and coffee were on offer. But there is scope to expand the breakfast menu with more items, and we would have loved it even more. It was a smooth, hassle-free experience for us right from booking our room through check-in till our final check-out. We found all the staff members to be very polite, caring, and ever helpful with a smile, especially Rishi, Sarat and Somchand, and restaurant staff like Sanjay and Rajib. Mr. Bidyut Pandey, the resort manager, was also very cordial, took due care of us and showed us around the resort. Last but not the least, the property owner, Mr. Suvashis Kundu, is a real gentleman who took personal care of all guests including us, and took pains to ensure our comfortable stay, and never left any chance for anyone to complain. We wish all the best for this resort. We wish to visit here again and expect that the resort maintains its high standard as we had found during our stay. I highly recommend all to stay here when visiting Purulia.

1. Palashgram Eco Resort near Matha Forest has a good location but the place is a rip off. |2. We visited this place seeing the pictures and ratings and then wondered how were such ratings given.|3. The place is under construction. Saw some other comments also that this is under construction 2 years or so ago so assumed that it would have been over now. There are so many construction workers around that you feel unsafe with family. |4. The rooms are poorly maintained and have cracks every where despite being a relatively new hotel. It feels unsafe. |5. Whilst it has "Palash" in its name, there are only 4 Palash trees in their property of which 3 are very small. |6. They call their hotel 3 star but there are no activities. Swimming pool and two swing which also you cannot use since there is mud everywhere |7. The approach road is too narrow, it is mud / kutcha road and had water logging in non rainy season!|8. If you a vegetarian there is no proper food in the hotel and near the hotel. They don't allow ANY outside food in the hotel.|9. They don't charge GST on food so they don't give you proper bills. |10. If you want to pay by credit card, you have to pay 2.5% extra. This rule keeps on changing based on how much discount on tariff you were offered.|11. The hotel check out time is 9 AM. If you exceed they will stand outside your room, keep calling multiple times, keep sending person every 10 minutes so that you checkout quickly. |12. The breakfast is inclusive and there were only 4 items to eat. If you ask for something not there, they will take so much that by then you will get tired of waiting|13. Owner of the property who runs the place / staff not well behaved.

This is the place where you can feel the mountains, lovely atmosphere. We stayed in the executive room which is specious with all the modern amenities, Resorts owner keep each & every small things in the room which we need in our daily life. Bathroom is also big enough and equipped with all essentials The best part is the view. You can enjoy the spectacular view of Mathaburu peak from every corner of the room. I must mention the hospitality we got from every employee of the resort is remarkable and the owner himself took care of his guests. Thank you for the excellent trip

The only thing good about this so called 3 star resort ( without any resort like facilities) is the location. I would advice not to waste your money on this unkept, poorly maintained , under construction hotel . Food for vegetarians is a big disappointment and if you want to pay through credit card for anything they'll charge approximately 2.5% extra. Overall unpleasant experience.

We stayed in Palashgram eco resort on 16th and 17th to see spring bloom of Palash. Very good resort having all the modern amenities with splendid panoramic view at the foothills of Mathaburu hill.Staff behavior and service was excellent ,a special mention and thanks for Mr Sukhdev. Appreciable hospitality with full support for whatever you need.

Beautiful, Cozy rooms in a picturesque Matha forest overlooking the mountains. Mr Kundu was there to overlook each and every boarders facility and lovely, helpful team..try the good food and fresh fish items n desi chicken, pocket friendly. Lovely set up and wonderful waterpool for all tourists..you will like it.
