Resorts Sonkupi Banjara Camp

I recently stayed at this resort in the Sonkupi area for three nights in a double-bed AC cottage. The service and staff behavior were outstanding, making my stay very comfortable. The food quality was excellent, and the natural surroundings added to the charm of the place. While the location and service were great (5 stars), I felt the rooms could be cleaner, and proper door locks should be ensured (3 stars for rooms). The amusements within nature were quite enjoyable, making it a peaceful getaway. Overall, a great place for nature lovers, with excellent service and hospitality!

We had the opportunity to stay at this location in a tent for two days. While the experience was overall enjoyable, there were a few essentials missing in the tent, such as clothing hangers, a designated space for luggage, a mirror, and a fan. We brought these points to the management's attention and hope they will address these improvements moving forward. On a positive note, the service was exceptional. The staff was highly cooperative, courteous, and professional throughout our stay. Additionally, the location itself is truly breathtaking and added a wonderful touch to the experience.

One of the best destination for short trip. Food ambience hospitality, stuff behaviour are really good. We have experienced Chhownach which was a surprise & we enjoyed the event. The usp is the beauty of the nature. A must visit place for all.

In this rural place the service they are giving is more than you deserve. The best behavior, prompt help and many things, they've updated themselves too well. Best experience staying there on Christmas with parents. Great ambience and a lot of space will make your holidays more peaceful. Thank you for everything.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sonkupi Banjara Camp, is one of the finest resorts nestled at the foothills of the Mathaburu, Bagmundi offering a perfect escape for a peaceful weekend retreat. The experience was nothing short of magical! The rooms are neat & clean, comfortable, and perfectly blend into the natural surroundings. Large area, parking facilities & kids amusement facilities. The staff are warm, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Food quality are excellent. The behavior of proprietor, Manager & all staffs are awesome, helpful & always ready to fulfill our requirements. What truly sets Sonkupi Banjara Camp apart is its tranquil atmosphere and seamless connection with nature. It's the perfect retreat for those seeking relaxation, simply a chance to reconnect with the nature. Best staying to explore Purulia. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent behaviour. Superb service. In the nature lap of Ayodhya Hill we have enjoyed the most. It will be an ever remembered tour in my life.

The place is good to spend some quality time far away from busy city life. Foods are average but staffs are good and always proactive to serve you. Specially Mr. Sandip & Mr Naren both are always active to satisfy their guest with their service. Though the staffs were a bit shaky due to a high rush at the peak time , they have tried their best and we are happy with their service.

One of the best places to stay in during the palash bloom season as they have a beautiful garden and lawn with plenty of palash trees inside the compound. You really don't need to go anywhere else to see palash blooms if you stay here. The resort has plenty of tents and a few other room types including at least a couple of AC cottages, so there are multiple kinds of accommodation on offer. The lawn also has a kids' play area. There is also plenty of parking space. The staff is super helpful and the food is very homely and tasty too. The resort also organizes chhau performances in the evening. The only limitations are the somewhat basic tents and the lack of hot water in the bathroom if you stay in the standard tents (they will bring hot water to the room on request). We also felt that the tent could have been cleaned better as the floor was a bit dirty. Also, meals need to be taken in the restaurant or common area and there is no room service. However, considering that full board is included within the price, this resort is an excellent choice for any lover of nature.
