A nice place to be in at Mandarmani. Situated on the beach, waves crush against the wall during tides. Expanding from the road to the beach, the hotel has a nice swimming pool. After 2.30 pm the pool is under the shade, which is a great thing. You can enjoy cool water. Lot of space for car parking. And a lift for convenience. Most importantly, people staffing the hotel, ranging from the Manager to the Housekeeping staff, are very nice, supportive and caring. They clean your room whenever you ask them. The quality of food is one of the best. Strongly recommended.

Very Rude Staff , Room Rates charged are not as per Room design & amenities provided , horrible breakfast, cannot plan for future travel , over priced food according to taste & quantity, very uncomfortable Parking space, swimming pool area is not clean

Beautiful place with excellent services. Food is very nice. Must stay to experience calmness and peace. I travelled along with my family from UK for a family visit to Kolkata..Hotel Sonar Bangla was recommended by a colleague describing the relaxed sea front ambience along with a superb amaible hospitality that he experienced..Well, truly enough I totally enjoyed the relaxed well maintained ( maybe requiring a fresh touch towards the back balcony view) ..seaside resort away from it all but safe for family in all aspects..The pros and cons are always there in any seaside resort, but the pros of good family friendly resort outweighed the cons.. Thank you for having us.|

The hotel is attached to the beach. So the location is great. Overall the hotel is budget friendly. However, the rooms are below par and shaby. The room allocated to us was small, the bed sheets dirty and the bathroom too was very dirty. Coming to the staff, they were really good. They always catered to our requests. Since, we had a pet along, they also prepared meal for him based on our requests. The meals served to us were the best part of the trip. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and even the evening snacks were too good. Overall, if you can consider this hotel for your trip, but they need to look into the quality of the rooms.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The behaviour of the staff was very good. The food is also tasty. The best thing was the trampoline. The greenery of the lawn and the cool breeze of the sea is also memorable. The sea view is also very good. But there are mosquitos in the room so that is a little bit of problem. But they also provide a GOOD KNIGHT Mosquito vaporizer .

This place is not too good. The rooms are okay but you don't get enough customer service. The charges are high only because they have a swimming pool. If it weren't for that it would have costed around 800 rs per room. The water they give to drink is really bad. You don't get a refrigerator. But you get a really nice view if you take a single bed room that faces towards the sea. The view was really amazing. My overall experience is that the hotel is okay.

A very good resort to stay. Stayed there for 2days with family and all of us are highly satisfied with their services. Prompt room service. Excellent food quality. Since they prepare fresh food after you order so I would suggest that you order a little bit early to enjoy your food on time. The location is very easy to locate. Amidst the main market area and have beach access. Hope to have my next stay soon here.

Not as good as nearby resorts. The beach with this beach resort is desolate. If you don't like crowd you'd love it, otherwise you have to walk a little. Rooms are moderately clean. They cleaned our room two times a day. Only Once they changed the bed sheet in our 3 days stay and that too on request. The food here is awesome. Visiting the market place also requires a bit of walking. Absolutely no seaview is available if you're staying at ground floor. Power cut occurs on a regular basis though only for a few minutes. If you want a break from the exhausting and bristling city life and are looking for a calm and peaceful stay for a couple of days with delicious food that too at a cheaper price, this is good for you.
