Booked 2 sea facing rooms for 1 night at 7.8K + 1K for keeping 1 room for 2 hours more after checkout time. Pros: Location is good, has private beach access, you can sit at sea facing benches in the open or under shade and enjoy the breeze all day and night. Has a small park for kids with slides and swings. Swimming pool is clean and there is a separate section for kids. Room size is good, got extra bed a well. No loud music which is good for old school folks. Alcohol is prohibited near the swimming pool else you can enjoy with your group at the sea facing bench or do a private party. Cons: Didn't get sea facing room on reaching the resort. There are actual sea facing rooms, but from my balcony sea was only visible on looking left. That shouldn't qualify as sea facing room. Room I got was a swimming pool facing room, only expected transparency when they post their room details online. Room fan was too noisy. Washroom taps were too slow, there was water blockage too in the washroom due to which it was a pool least till 15-20 mins of taking a bath. Jet spray speed was very slow. They also mentioned dental kits in their online booking detail but both were missing. Did not have a good experience with food. Many roadside shops make far better poori which was plain and oily and sabji which was bland, tea was bitter, mixed veg was tasteless, chicken curry was too watery, lemon soda was bad, daal fry was too spicy. Only roti and sandwich was acceptable among the options I tried which needs special talent to screw up, gald they didn't screw up on this one. Bottled water sold at more than MRP price. During checkout 3 different staff members came asking for tips. Overall: You can come here once to experience the resort as rooms are still ok and it is located at the beach. You may get lucky with food if you eat sea food, but this is a one time visit for me as my family is mostly vegetarian which we didn't like here. There are many better beach facing resorts in Mandarmani at a lower price with far better food options.

Stayed here twice including my recent visit in the month of November. Great beach front hotel with ample seating decks in front of the sea. You can spend your time seating at the deck and watching the sea. Good sea facing rooms with all amenities. Good Bengali and Chinese food. Extremely good value for money resort with excellent sea facing rooms. Better than many so called luxury resorts in Mandarmoni. Highly recommended.

Excellent location for beach lovers. Restaurant service is also good. Recommended for stay!

If you want to enjoy rhe great sea, without DJ music, this is the place. Staff behaviour, ambience, food - all perfect. Nice for family perspective. And most of all, free from noise pollution. Sea is just 100 metre from the resort, in your doorstep. Go for it.

I visited Santiniketan Hotel & Resort in the month of June with my family. The room was very spacious and well maintained. The view from the hotel room was magnificent. You can view the sea from your bed itself. You can assess the beach from the resort very easily. Also, a nearby food stall for local food is very easily available. The hotel is very safe for families as well as for solo female travelers. The food was awesome. The staff were very active and kind, and they were always ready to serve you. They also serve the food as per your requirements. Overall, the resort is well maintained and beautifully decorated. The staff are very active and kind. The food was delicious. I always recommend visiting the place for a wonderful time with your family and with your near ones.

We were 5 girls on the trip.. room was spacious enough to accommodate us all.. it was very near the beach.. they had pool too.. staff were polite service was good but time span in bringing food and stuff can be shortened.. felt safe overall

A well maintained resort in a sea-facing location within a pocket friendly rate. This place is good for going in a vacation with friends and family. The resort has some destination wedding set-up in the middle of it and the location is very good for these kind of ceremony. The resort has some cons also on their services. Whenever we have ordered something, they delivered late. Noone cares about the cleanliness of the premises, after finishing the booze guests use to keep the bottles as it is anywhere in the premises and none of the staffs looks into it. They cleans all together in the next morning. Until then, other guests have to compromise with the situation. Overall, our experience was good.

Our stay here was not pleasant and I've been coming here since 2013. Earlier it felt good but it didn't feel up to the mark this time. Swimming pool although big, reeks of chorine. They don't turn on the pump or the lights till they've been asked multiple times. There is no breakfast buffet, we took a 4-person room that was small with two beds, costed us 4000 in cash. (+gst if paid with card) The housekeeping staff were pleasant and well/behaved but management sucks. The rooms have cockroaches, bad paint and decor is quite poor. AC was functioning but had display panels broken, the switchboard beside the bed had come out of wall. Cleanliness was decent beside that and housekeeping was good at cleaning the rooms. During breakfast we asked for aloo paratha or puri sabzi from the menu, reception told us "40 minute lagbe karon bajar e jete hbe egulo ante". The bengali food during lunch was good, but chinese food like fried rice and chili chicken tasted like chewing wood and rubber, had 0 flavor and taste. Snacks like scrambled eggs and french fries were okay but at this price, breakfast buffet is A MUST. A better alternative to this hotel is Mohana Beach Resort, comes equipped with a bar, proper sitting areas in front of the beach, breakfast buffet, hookah, and mostly everything else you can think of.
