Massara Beach Resort

Rooms were good but they should provide an all out or like that cause there were plenty of mosquitoes. Service was good they were very concerned about us and kept asking us if we need anything or not Location was awesome If anyone needs a complete vacation or spends some quality time with someone then this place is heaven for them. But as this place is still under development so shops for necessary things are quite far away.

This property once used to be a wonderful staycation hotel. I was surprised to see the deterioration, non maintenance of the poroperty in late April, 2024. Due to change in ownership, a part of the hotel is broken, falling apart. No maintenance at all in the common area. Rooms are still good but bath fittings to linens are slowly getting damaged. Its in a poor condition and ill health.

We spend time between 20/03 - 22/03 at Massara. Mixed feedback as below.||1) Location: (Rating - 4/5) Wrt Beach, its right next to secluded and very clean beach, though approach to beach is broken and you need to be careful. Positive point is that you dont find crowd on beach. Negative part is due to no xrown on beach you also dont have vendor on beach to have a tea or snacks||2) Hotel : (Rating - 3/5) Its standard hotel with standard facility. AC was working. for Hot water, AC need to be switched off. Hot water flow though was POOR. Cleanliness around hotel premise need significant improvement. Inside room, bed is OK but current bedsheets/towels need to be thrown and burnt and replaced by new. No toiletry was provided except for a soap.|Also note that hotel is completely ISOLATED and hence take whatever you need to take with you and dont expect anything to get from nearby shows (there is none)||3) Food: (Rating 2/5) Very ordinary and pricey. But no other choice||4) Approach Road (Rating - MINUS 2/5): Worst entry I ever saw. Road narrow for only one vehicle and even a cycle from other side can not pass. for 400 meter of approach road, you only pray that no one should come from opposite direction. Its lottery||5) Others: As per my discussion with hotel staff, for family trip, weekend MUST be avoided as its time for rowdy young crowd who come for booze and there was an issue between such crowd and a young family couple of weeks back only. We were luckily there during weekdays and it was quiet (we were the only guest)

The overall property is average. Cottage room was broken and dirty. Bed and mattress are the worst one. Foods are super expensive. Service is really very bad. I'll recommend not to book any room in this resort. Moreover, the location is very far from any market. The lane connecting the resort and main road is very narrow and broken. There is no boundary or main gate to enter the resort. Outside people tend to enter and intervent. Complimentary breakfast was very ordinary.

The Location is the Main USP of this resort. The rooms are specious and Clean. But they have severe maintenance issue. The AC is generally faulty which we faced in both of our Premium AC rooms. Other Guest had similar complains. No phone lines present in rooms. Needed improvement on this areas. Food was decent. Staffs ware Friendly. Location is Just Fabulous. They Are pet friendly also. A definite visit place during Winters but better avoid in summers id the AC problems are not sorted. Date of My Visit was 20th May 2023.

The rooms are spacious, clean and hygienic. The food we ordered was basic and very tasty. Very close to the sea beach but not a straight view from the rooms. Service is good. The worst part was AC not working in alternate rooms in scorching and highly humid month of May. It was the case with most of the rooms. All the guests, including us, had a huge ruckus with the staff. Seemed intentional to save on electricity bills as AC was working in most of the rooms from 3-4 am. Not recommended during summers !!

Firstly the location is good but road is very bad. We were roaming there with a map for about 30mins but could not even find the resort. They can't even guide properly. The resort has put some sign boards at the roads which are not even noticable. They don't have basic amenities like they do not provide any drinking water or regular water in the room as well as in the restaurant for free. They have charged Rs.30/- for one litre water bottle. Bathroom was clean but there is nothing to hang towel or clothes. Shower is almost jammed. They don't share any wifi password. There is no fan in the dining area. ACs are there for show. So you have to eat in that condition. Overall very bad experience. Not recommended.

Room has no view of sea, no sundeck or balcony was provided. I have booked standard room but I have been given cottage room, bed was quite uncomfortable with noise, bathroom has no hanger for dress keeping, common space and surrounding of the hotel is very dirty, hotel location is very remote, hard to locate, nearby road side people was very rude. Hotel condition need to be maintained properly for hosting guest. I will rate the hotel 0 out of 5. Please refund the amount for my suffering and bad time during my tour.
