A Hidden Gem in the Heart of a Tea Garden - A Perfect Offbeat Escape I recently had the absolute pleasure of discovering a newly built, offbeat destination that felt like stepping into a dream. We were only the second guests to ever stay there, which made the experience even more exclusive and personal. Nestled right in the middle of an expansive, lush tea garden, this resort is a stunning wooden structure that blends modern luxury with nature's untouched beauty. The moment we arrived, we were enveloped by serenity--the soft rustle of tea leaves in the breeze, birdsong echoing through the trees, and that fresh, earthy aroma you only get in such pristine locations. The Resort: Though it's newly established, the resort already holds the finesse of a well-run 5-star property. The wooden architecture adds a cozy, cabin-like charm while still exuding luxury. Everything--from the rooms and furnishings to the service--felt impeccably thought out. Rooms & Interiors: Spacious, warm-toned, and adorned with minimalist yet elegant decor, the rooms offered an incredible view of the tea estate. Large windows and a private deck allowed us to soak in the scenery at all hours--sunrise through misty leaves was unforgettable. Service & Hospitality: Being among the very first guests, we received truly personalized service. The staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely excited to share their special space with us. It didn't feel like staying at a hotel--it felt like being welcomed into someone's peaceful sanctuary. Activities & Ambiance: This place is not about a jam-packed itinerary; it's about being whether you're sipping tea brewed fresh from the estate's own leaves, going for slow walks through the plantation, or simply sitting on your porch listening to nature, every moment here invites deep relaxation. They have their own library area and play section for the kids. Final Thoughts: If you're seeking a luxurious yet tranquil escape far from the usual tourist hustle, this resort is a treasure waiting to be experienced. It's perfect for couples, writers, nature-lovers--or anyone craving silence and beauty. I'm incredibly grateful to have discovered it so early on, and I can already tell this place will become a coveted retreat in the months to come.

It's a hidden gem of madarihat. It's just 10m away from jaldapara National Park. If you need relaxation of your body and mind this is the place you must visit . You find a play safe corner for kids, little library is also there. Moreover the stuffs are really nice to you. You just fill the nature over this beautiful place.

We had the pleasure of visiting Woodlands Wilderness Chalet on May 16th and 17th, and our stay was nothing short of spectacular! We received the directions well in advance, so we had no trouble locating the place. We arrived around 1:30 PM, and since we had already communicated our lunch preferences, everything was ready by the time we got there. Since we were traveling with a 10-month-old baby, we were pleasantly surprised by the attention given to providing us with all the necessary amenities for an infant. These included deliciously prepared infant food, BPA-free tableware for children, an infant bathtub, and mosquito patches. The first thing we noticed about the property was that it was located right next to the reserve forest, which was quite unique. We opted for the Meet & Greet Service with a Forest Guide, so securing tickets for the 4 PM Jeep Safari was hassle-free. After the safari, we returned to the chalet and were warmly welcomed by the peacocks residing in a nearby tree. Being greeted by these beautiful birds upon our return was a delightful experience. Dinner was fantastic, especially the mouth-watering Chicken Kasha. The hospitality from the staff was exceptional; they attended to our every need around the clock. That night, we were given a huge surprise by our animal friends--the elephants! The trumpeting sound of the elephants provided us with an adrenaline rush as we spotted them from the comfort of our room's balcony, just 300 meters away. The occasional warning sounds from the Forest Jeep heightened our excitement. We slept soundly and were once again awakened in the morning by the sounds of peacocks. Afterward, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast of poori, aloo dum, mango pickle, and masala tea. Following breakfast, we set off on a day trip to the Buxa Tiger Reserve, which had been arranged by the property upon request. The driver provided for our trip was knowledgeable about the directions and drove with great caution. Upon our return, we relished delicious snacks of chicken pakoras accompanied by Darjeeling tea while enjoying the rain-soaked view of the tea gardens. As dawn broke, we reluctantly said our goodbyes to this enchanting place, filled with cherished memories and a promise to return soon for more adventures.
