Amar Aranya Resort & Suruchi Restaurant

During my recent stay here for 3 nights, I had a very mixed experience. Given my overall experience and costing associated, I would give this a 3.5 stars. Details below. Positives: - The layout of the property is great, with huge open spaces and play area for children. The Gorumara forest is 100 meters at the backside and one can see the forest from the rooms. - We stayed at the Superior King room, and it was spacious, clean, with a big balcony. - Location is okay, its about 1 km from the Lataguri market place. After sunset they don't recommend going out of the property on foot. The toto wallahs refuse to take you to the property from the marketplace after 7pm as the property is on active animal zone. - Room we stayed in had geyser, air conditioner, tv, seating area and table within the room and seating arrangement in the balcony too. - Food is always served fresh. - The manager and owner are very helpful as they arranged for our jungle safari and sightseeing trips (they did charge a little extra through as commission I guess). The owner was kind enough to waive off some of our room tax. - The staff are well mannered and very helpful. Overall service is good. Negatives: - Rooms are a tad costly when compared to other properties in Lataguri of better stature and popularity. - Food options are really limited during lunch and dinner. We kind of ended up having the same food over and over again. Being far from the market area, there are no other options available. - Food cost is quite high and kind of inconsistent. E.g. 150 ml milk and a handful of cornflakes for breakfast costed us Rs 200!! That's atrocity. - They serve this huge portion of rice per plate and refused to give us half plate extra rice. - Their menu card says one plate of Basmati rice is Rs 80 but they served us regular rice at the same price. - Rooms do not have electric kettle (expected at this price point) and servings of coffee/tea sachets. I wake up very early in the morning and need my morning cup of coffee, which I was not able to get before 7:15 am from the kitchen. Suggestions: Please revise the food costs according to what is being served, and also include a bit more variety in the food. Also, for the room costs, please include other basic amenities like electric kettle, mini-fridge, in-room beverages which is now a standard across all properties.

Had an excellent stay in the resort. Complete peace with cleanliness and excellent food. We even got our room upgraded for better comfort and great view and the owner was amazingly friendly with us throughout our stay. Even our pet enjoyed it

Very good resort and very nice location staff very good. I will say one thing to everyone atleast go to amar Aranya resort once it's very nice and very nice place

It's ideal place for family get together, weekend tour.
