Nestled in tall Pine trees Nirvana has some of the best views of the mountains. A lovely luxury resort with large rooms, really large, with all the modern amenities. We were a group of 6 family members and we all had rooms with great views over looking the valley. The mornings were full of chirping of birds and mountain mist rolling inside the rooms. Adriana and her team were the best hosts taking care of us with smiles. The food was fantastic, we had a mix of local delicacies like achari aloo chat, and other vegetables and all time favourites across all the meats, fish and chicken. One of the best caramel custard and egg Benedict I have had in a long time. We had a large lounge for our use and they went out of their way to organise live music and a barbecue for birthday we were celebrating. We enjoyed the place so much that we infact cancelled one of our day trips and spent the time enjoying family time at the pool table, played table tennis and enjoying the quaint tea house which was adjacent. Truly a jewel in that location a place to relax, enjoy the fresh air, work up an appetite and enjoy some great meals. Every small details in the place shows class and attention to detail to comfort for fellow traveler.
A homely resort with amazing views and situated a little out of town. We had the mountain facing room ,but unfortunately it was misty and full of haze and we could not see anything. The resort is situated in a peaceful surrounding and impeccably clean with all amenities for a resort of this size. Good sized rooms and amazing staff who are eager ro please. A lovely tea houe attached with soulful live music every day from 4pm to 9pm. Food takes time so do order on ahead and give your time. Taste is delicious though. Adequate breakfast and cooked hot food on the table will be served. Heart skips a beat at the beautiful collection of books and magazines which can also be taken away. Thanks for sharing the joys of reading by the owner. Would highly recommend.
First time in forever, I visited a property and thought honestly there isn't anything that they need to work on!||The location of the retreat was scenic, the decor was tasteful, the amenities mindful, the food delicious and the hospitality of the service team absolutely impeccable! ||At checkin we were greeted with fragrant Darjeeling tea and a beautiful charlie stand with butter cookies and cake baked in-house (yum!). ||What followed was two days of great service by a team that was professional yet empathetic, efficient yet indulging. Vaishnavi, Adriana, Shubham are just a few names that come to mind. ||The food was excellent at every meal period. A special mention to the Chhurpi ko Achaar, Mutton Galouti kebab and the Chapli Kebab. Phenomenal! Had a lovely interaction with the adorable Chef Ongmu as well and she was a sweetheart. ||The housekeeping staff too were excellent at their job. Every single person at the retreat always greeted us with smiles and a few words. It was truly heartwarming. ||And finally the day we visited there was a special event organised in the evening for Women's day where the most melodious young lady entertained us, Shabnam. ||Everything from the warm service, great food, beautiful rooms, lavish common seating areas and carefully curated memorabilia around the entire property was truly remarkable and memorable.|Would definitely visit many more times and would absolutely recommend a stay there!
Nestled among the pine trees, Nirvana Retreat is indeed a hidden gem. This boutique hotel is a labour of love, where every detail has been painstakingly attended to, in order to give the the guests the best experience possible. The food is amazing; it was a real surprise to see such a well curated menu with some delectable selections (like French onion soup and scotch eggs) in such a secluded place. The rooms are both comfortable and elegant. One can just spend hours sitting in the balcony, soaking in the beauty and the tranquility of the surroundings. But I have saved the best for the last. Our stay would not have been so memorable had it not been for the warmth and hospitality of Adriana and her team. We were deeply moved by Adriana's personal touch, ensuring that every guest felt pampered, and every wish was fulfilled. Thank you for making our stay so special.
Nirvana Retreat is an excellent resort amidst lush green nature in Kurseong. The resort is located little above from the Kurseong Railway Station. The resort is located at a very quiet and peaceful place where you can enjoy every bit of your stay. From the resort itself, we walked through the woods to see the park at Dow Hill. That was an amazing experience. The historic Chimney Heritage Park, a must see place in Kurseong, is only 3.4 KM from the resort. Netaji Museum and Centre for studies in Himalayan Languages Society and Culture is around 8.5 KM from the resort. This Museum is basically in the house where Netaji Subhash Chndra Bose stayed for some time. The resort is very clean and well maintained. We stayed in a family room, called Kalchi, during March 2023. The room was large enough to accomodate all of us and with all sorts of amenities. Each and every stuff there was very polite and helpful. The food was delicious and quantity wise was very good. There were lots of options. Even the complementary breakfast that we had was having so much of options. We stayed there for 4 days and it was such a pleasant stay in this hill town.
The experience in Nirvana was par excellence to say the least. Right from booking our stay to checking-out was smooth and comfortable, a special shout-out to Subham Tamang for helping me through all the process. The food experience was absolutely superb thanks to Adriana Lama and her team. The only negative was the bed and pillows, both of which were way too soft. Loved the idea of and exchange library! and yes one must visit their teahouse to listen to Shabnam sing, she is superb!
The crew are locals and imbue the humble, warm and friendly culture quintessential to the region. |The location is tranquil and the view is simply relaxing. If you are foodie, then the kitchen crew are your best friends. They actually customise it to your taste. Just great hospitality!!
