I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Opus Boutique Hotel in Kolkata, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! The hotel staff were exceptional--warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met promptly and with genuine care. It's rare to find such a dedicated team that makes you feel so at home. One of the best parts about The Opus is how affordable it is for the quality you get. The prices are incredibly reasonable, offering fantastic value for a boutique hotel in the heart of Kolkata. It's the perfect choice for travelers looking for comfort without breaking the bank. And the food--oh, the food was simply amazing! The on-site restaurant served up a variety of dishes that were bursting with flavor, from local delicacies to international options. Every meal I had was delicious, well-presented, and left me looking forward to the next. The breakfast spread was a highlight, with fresh and tasty choices that set the tone for the day. This hotel is truly AMAZING in every way. I hvae travelled the world and stayed in in many a fine hotel however the OPUS Vancouver is a MUST if you are in Vancouver, SIMPLY THE BEST. The VERY BEST warm, engaging and knowlegeable staff. The rooms are HUGE, the beds are BLISS, sooo comfortable, the best pillows and the the bathrooms AMAZING and huge too. The hotel is 'Hospital grade' clean in fact I would say cleaner than a hospital! ALL the staff are sooo welcoming and friendly, the bar is fabulous and the resturant food amazing too. You cannot find a better lcoation in Yaletown. The hotel is immediatley surrounded by fantastic resturants, bars and elegant shops, STAY at the OPUS you won't regret it, you'll not want to leave!!

A heartfelt and honest stay - perfect for solo travelers on a budget I stayed at this hotel for five nights during my first trip to India, and it turned out to be a warm, pleasant, and memorable experience. While it's a local hotel and not a fancy international chain, the team here put their heart into everything -- from service to comfort -- and it truly shows. Check-in was smooth, even though I arrived quite late. They WhatsApp-ed me in advance to confirm my arrival time, which was a thoughtful use of modern communication. When I finally arrived, they noticed I was tired and didn't rush me with payment. That small gesture meant a lot after a long journey. I also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant that night. I initially thought it would be pricey, but the food was affordable and surprisingly tasty -- a great option when it's late and you're too tired to find restaurants outside, especially in an unfamiliar city. Throughout my stay, the staff were kind and attentive. One moment that really touched me was when the elderly guard insisted on helping carry my luggage during checkout, even after I said it wasn't necessary. It wasn't about tips -- it was about responsibility and genuine care, and that's what truly sets them apart. The room was small but had everything I needed: fan, air-conditioning, hot shower, and a clean space to rest. As a solo traveler, I didn't need a big or fancy room -- just something functional and comfortable, and this place delivered exactly that. Location-wise, it's very close to a metro station, making it convenient to get around Kolkata. It's not in a luxury area, but that made it easier for me to connect with local culture, which was one of the goals of my trip. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value -- around USD 40 per night, which is very reasonable given the facilities and service. It may not have the polish of a 4 or 5-star property, but in terms of hospitality, warmth, and sincerity, it's definitely top-tier. I felt safe, welcomed, and at home -- and that's the best kind of feeling any hotel can give. Highly recommended for solo travelers or anyone looking for a grounded, local, and meaningful stay in Kolkata.

Location wise ok. But poor service and rooms also. They have only two rooms in good position. In rest rooms to lock washroom door you need to stand on western toilet and then only you will lock the door. They have have a good menu but when you ask they have limited things to serve you.

We are staying at The Opus , a boutique hotel and it's a nice stay overall. The on-site restaurant, The Royal Courtyard, receives a positive feedback from us for its quality cuisine, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The hotel's staff is highlighted for their politeness and helpfulness, contributing to our comfortable stay. The owner lady of the hotel see every minute cleaning and service matter herself. Nice

I have had an excellent experience with Opus. It's very well located in Bhowanipore, and the staff is excellent. I would wholeheartedly recommend Opus for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Kolkata.

Our four day stay at The Opus A Boutique Hotel was pleasant.Rooms were well maintained and provided with all facilities.Being situated at central kolkata it was convenient for us to move around easily.Food as well as the staff was good.
