Regenta Inn Larica - Among Best Hotels in Kolkata (Near Airport)

Worst experience. I booked a room for my two european friends. The people in the reception were extremely unprofessional and passive aggressive. They have a policy for not allowing guests in rooms even in mornings, and the way they convey it is very rude. The rooms were big, however they smelled of smoke. When we complained, they told us the rooms were "no-smoking" but the rooms had an ash tray and matchsticks. When we confronted them about it, they said they let guests smoke if they ask for it, but they insist their rooms are non smoking. There is no hot water after 12 in the night and they refused to turn on the boiler even after repeated requests for us. Worst experience, and for my foreign friends, they really took back a wrong impression of our country. Would not recommend for anyone looking to stay for longer (4-5days) and looking for a nice welcoming environment. Not a good hotel at all.

This is good hotel with good facilities as they are charging. Quality of food is good but they don`t have much variety of food. Staff is helpful specially security person at reception help us in providing car to travel day trip. Need maintenance.

I'm a regular traveler to this location. I stayed for a day and wanted to stay one more day. But the manager at reception Mr. Sayon, he refused to give room saying all rooms are booked. All booking apps were showing available rooms. Later I booked near by Hotel. He is very rude and manner less. He don't know how to deal with customers. Such behavior in hospitality industry is unacceptable. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Their behavior will ruin your day.

Very unprofessional. Hospitality very poor. We reached in kolkata erly morning and want for check inn but the stuff are not allowed before 12 am .We have booked 3 rooms . We said for atleast 1 room but they denied and also they claim extra charges for early cheak in the staff are not cooperative

Extremely bad staff, rude passive aggressive and they do not care about the complaints of the guests. Rooms smell of smoke and hotel claims the rooms are "non smoking". Not recommended for anyone looking for a good stay.

We had such a bad experience at this hotel. Right from checkin time. We couldn't sit in reception and just relax they started to ask for our IDs. Atleast they could have ask us to sit and ask for welcome drinks. After that the staff at reception are very rude ,the way they talk with guest. They are lack of GK. Asking us for our visa,have no idea that we dont need visa to visit india. Wifi is not working at all and when we asked they said there is server issue and that never got fixed. We highly don't recommend this hotel at any cost. It's totally waste of money. They are asking us to check out before the time. We came for vacation and had the worst experience in this hotel. Only good thing is the waiter at restaurant is nice polite and helpful.

Rooms - No basic amenities (no hot water for bath, no floor mat so be ready to slip once out from the shower, no proper AC cooling, TV doesn't start unless the housekeeping staff comes with another remote, intercom doesn't work so you have to use your mobile to call the reception or go down) Not child friendly at all - we were to travel at 6AM to Gangasagar so requested for kids breakfast to be packed...they told us they'll let us know...we told them this 5-6 times in a day. Next morning before leaving we asked them for the packed breakfast and the manager on duty said he's not aware of any such information!!! So he called the day shift manager and asked about it and then we got it. This shows there's no proper communication between the staff. And so this made our road journey late. Location - It's good as it's on the main road and also one thing I liked is that it's nearby the international airport...kids loved watching the flight landing in full speed every 30mins.

My stay at this resort was abysmal, and it ranks as the worst I've ever encountered. The overall experience was dreadful, with the sole redeeming feature being the security guard, who exhibited is commendable professionalism.
