It was a pleasant stay and all hotel staffs and managers are quite cooperative. Although near a fruits market area but that was again not a big problem and certainly a family friendly hotel with veg restaurant.

Had a very bad experience. We decided to check out within 5 mins of our checkin but they refused to refund any amount. Rooms are pathetically small not as mentioned on booking websites. They mentioned 225sft and it was not even 100sft. We paid 2000 rupees just to go for a loo one time. And bathrooms were also very much in breezy condition with a foul smell. Front desk staff refused to refund the amount first and finally when we checked out of the hotel he was trying to convince us that rooms are good we will spray some perfumes to remove smell but we would not refund the amount paid. So we finally checked out without a single penny in our hand. He even asked for whatever reviews we want to give we are free to give that won't effect them for ratings. Worst hotel experience.
1. Discrimination Against Online Bookings: Guests who book online are reportedly treated as second-class customers. The hotel management assigns them the worst rooms available, which fail to meet even basic standards of comfort. 2. Unhygienic Rooms and Bathrooms: The condition of the rooms is appalling, with dirty toilets comparable to public restrooms. There's a complete lack of maintenance, and basic hygiene protocols are ignored, making the stay uncomfortable and unpleasant. 3. Unsanitary Kitchen Practices: The hotel's kitchen is described as filthy, with stains from gutkha (chewing tobacco) spit observed in the premises. This creates an impression of a highly unprofessional and unhygienic environment, akin to a poorly maintained cow shed. 4. Food Quality Concerns: Guests are strongly advised not to order food from the hotel due to concerns over hygiene and cleanliness. This suggests a disregard for food safety standards. 5. Overall Poor Management: The lack of attention to guest comfort, cleanliness, and food hygiene reflects poor management and indifference to customer satisfaction.
One of the worst hotel I have seen in my life till now. This is my recent visit on Dec 2024. I would request to avoid this hotel if u are with family or u prefer cleanliness / hygiene around u. Later I got good hotels in less prices Hotel Afreen, Hotel 16 Avenue Below are my feedback for Rituraj Crockraches Hotel. Area : Worst, Pathetic, Full of smell with rotten fruits, no can walk full of wet mud. Service : Not at all trained people. Feels like I checked in road side stay. I asked to get mop done the person who came bought mop full of hair, I asked please bring good mop he said we are trained people and can do mopping with this hair filled also. Post cleaning room was left with more hair. Rooms : I stayed in Deluxe Premium room which costed 2470 for a day. Room was full of smell and behind bed the background was full of dust, no cleanliness, no vaccum done. Cherry on the cake was we were accompanied by crockraches, when complained then service people said take this HIT and spray. Reception : These are the worst people. I came and checked the prices, and then checked online prices. Online was 2000 incl taxes. and offline was 2470. They asked me to write details on their register and I filled it. Till this time I haven't paid any amount for booking or confirmation. Post checking online, i asked them that I will book room from online then they said rooms will be not be available if booked online, only if u take offline then only we can give u. I said then leave I will nt take room then they said u have pay us the cancellation charges. Then I said till now I haven't taken room key neither I paid confirmation charges then why should I pay cancellation charges.... They said this with all Rude nature. Restaurant : I asked for empty plates and spoons for dinner, they sent dirty wet plates. They don't know that plates should be dry and clean when giving to customers.
The only downside of this hotel is location. Worst locality ever with entire area around stinking and dirty. People urinating in the open, trucks parked eternally at the entrance. Not at all how it's portrayed in the photos. Staff is good. Rooms are okay.
If you give award for the worst hotel in Kolkata, then this is the one. The person with worst behaviour with worst quality and hospitality. I pre-booked the room, gave full payment, went there with my family and at 11p.m., I was denied booking of the room. Above all, the manager and owner was rude to me and my family.
Nice hotel at it's room rent. Employees are very well-behaved and gentle. Canteen facilities are also good. Entrance road is found very jam with big trucks. Other than it's okay.
Room is good as per the location.. Service is excellent as all are very corporative and good behavior... Food is also good... I always prefer this hotel whenever i visit in this barabazar
