We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and overall, it was just okay. Here's my detailed review: Room: The room was small but had clean floors and a clean toilet, which was appreciated. However, being right by the roadside, it was extremely noisy. Till midnight, there was loud music from the bar next door, and in the morning, the sounds of traffic, vehicle horns, engines, and even dogs barking made it hard to relax. The walls and door offered little to no soundproofing, and we could hear people walking and talking in the corridor quite clearly. Hotel Design and Comfort: The hotel seemed crammed into a very small space. The lobby felt suffocating and tight, and the elevator was shockingly small--it barely fit me with two backpacks. The overall design made the stay feel quite constricted and uncomfortable. Staff and Service: The one bright spot in the experience was the staff. They were extremely helpful, polite, and attentive to our needs. Despite the limitations of the property, they made every effort to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Their efficiency and positive attitude were much appreciated, and it was clear they are committed to their work. Amenities: The pillows and bedding were just passable; they reminded me of Indian Railways' linen. The hotel provided a complimentary water bottle at check-in, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was not included, though they did have an extensive room service menu. I didn't try anything from it, so I can't comment on the food. Location: If you are not bound by any stringent restrictions to stay in this area, I would strongly recommend avoiding it altogether. From my experience of walking through the entire area, the by-lanes are filthy, overly crowded, and extremely dirty. Walking on the streets is a frustrating experience--footpaths exist only in name but are mostly blocked by street shops, parked trucks, or other clutter. It's not a pleasant environment, and I would not wish such living conditions on anyone. Unfortunately, this seems to reflect much of old Kolkata, but this area, in particular, is especially unappealing. Value for Money: Considering the price, it was better than other options in the vicinity, but unless absolutely necessary, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I stayed there for one night, had one another day but instead of extending, booked another hotel because as soon as somebody checked out, they gave it to me without even bathroom cleaning. Somebody bathe and checked out and directly they gave it to me. Their hair etc was right there on the floor but they cleaned it as I mentioned. Only good thing about this hotel is the location because tram is still running in that area. Hotel staff- 5/5 Food- 1/5 Hygiene - 1/5 Location - 4/5
I've stayed with my family for 3 days and the stay was nice and affordable. The room is well maintained. The breakfast served in the hotel is also good (we ordered aloo parathas).Thank you!
We stayed for a few hours due to our flights, but they are charging extra money because we are not staying the entire day. Before we made the reservation, they did not mention that extra charges would be required. After reaching the property, they are now mentioning this type of additional fee. The hotel policy is the worst, and they do not know how to retain customers. We requested to check in again after 2 days for a business trip, but they are pretending that the hotel is fully booked when it is not. The receptionist thought we would not know, but both MMT and Booking.com clearly state that rooms are available. Overall, it was a terrible experience. They charged an extra 340 rupees for early check-in, on top of the total amount. They charged 1900 rupees, but the room was subpar. They are unprofessional and seem to believe that their foreign guests do not notice. We do not recommend booking this hotel. The area is also not good.
The room is very clean and nice. The staff is kind and friendly. Shower is working perfectly and there is hot water. They also have a restaurant that serves good food. After one month traveling in India, that's the best place I've been staying by far and it feels like a 5 stars to me. I highly recommend
Do not stay here. NONE of the photos are accurate. Rooms are absolutely disgusting. Staff is totally unprofessional and unhelpful. They charge you for days you don't stay and then try and shift the blame onto you. I've worked in hotels and in customer service before, and that's just not the way you treat guests.
"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Holiday Express. The hotel maintained excellent hygiene standards and offered great hospitality. The staff were well-behaved and courteous. However, the only drawback was the noise from a nearby Ghalib Band, which hosted live musical shows every night, often extending into the late hours. Nevertheless, everything else about the hotel was superb. One convenient aspect was the ability to hire an auto directly from the hotel to the Esplanade area."
Our stay at in this hotelbwas truly exceptional! The rooms were impeccably clean and modern, with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. within walking distance from Nonapukur bus stop and Prak street allen park. We especially enjoyed all, overall good experiences here. Last 4 days stayed. Strongly recommended this place.
