Hotel Cecil

If you ever have the misfortune to spend some time in Kolkata (in which case, please accept my deepest sympathy), the best reasonably-priced place to stay is Hotel Cecil. The location is great. The rooms are clean - go for the King's Suite, you won't be disappointed. And, best of all, the staff are ultra-nice people and really helpful. For these reasons, I can thoroughly recommend Hotel Cecil

This place is very very close to Calcutta medical college. Very busy area, the lane opposite to tram line stoppage ( college square), near santosh mitra square. The hotel rooms are clean but too small for accommodation for 2 or more person in one room. The hotel staffs are very helpful.

Overall the experience was good. The rooms are small but since I was staying alone the room was fine for me. Services are good but the second night when I ordered dinner they rejected the dinner order for uncertain reasons and since I was out in the morning they should have informed me earlier about canceling the dinner. The rest of the management and staff are polite and helpful.

Best Budget hotel in Kolkata. We were staying for 4 nights. Hospitality of hotel staff is outstanding . We live aborad and the stanard of the hotel is at par with any of the hotel targetted to foreigners but price is just fraction they charge. The breakfast they served is tasty and on time. They even made us dinner at extremely reasonable price snd home made food. I can't thank them enough for the mind blowing service with such a cheap price. Hats off.

Location and area wise hotel is good and decent one but they have so small room and too much cozy for a couple to stay and keep their luggage. Further this hotel is located on 2nd and 3rd floor and was built in English Era so every time we have climbed staircase as there is no lift service too. Elderly people must avoid this hotel. But the hotel management is good and helpful.

First of all i am totally disappointed, I booked a room for 2300 rupees which is their budget Room with breakfast included but they totally denied and say breakfast was not included, here they cheated with us again their tv not working at all, after a certain time ac stop working and their room was very much small and their behaviour was also very rude. And the result is waste of money and waste of vacation. Not recommended at all.

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Small but very clean and well appointed rooms with plenty of hot water. Excellent, friendly service and a quiet walk through the college grounds to the Central Metro station. Near all the bookshops on College St.

The location was absolutely perfect. The staff was of great help and so friendly. We liked everything about this hotel and the private balcony is just a plus. Thank you for all
