This hotel should not be authorised by the DOT as it doesn't fulfill any of the criteria for a hotel. Worst ever place I have seen.

Title: Frightening Experience - Unsafe for Solo Female Travelers I recently stayed at Hotel Gardenia Sarat Bose road and had a very frightening experience. The room doors have no proper locks, making it extremely unsafe. While I was sleeping alone in the afternoon, a service man forcefully opened the door without even knocking. When I confronted him, he started arguing and making excuses instead of apologizing. As a solo female traveler, I felt incredibly unsafe and helpless, especially with all my luggage in the room. This experience left me feeling very vulnerable and frightened. I strongly advise other women to avoid this hotel. Please check in or book at your own risk. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Safety should be a top priority, and Hotel Gardenia failed miserably in this regard. I booked from Oyo but when i arrived there they denied access and told there is no room where as there were rooms available. After charging more money from me the gave a room which was filthy and very bad and nothing like what is shown in pics. There is no complimentary water or sanitary and water charged is more than printed. Very bad experience with no lights on toilet.

The rate that I booked was denied by the hotel when i reached there. I paid nearly Rs 500 extra. This is kind of malpractice. Hotel attracts guests with low rates and once people reach there they will deny. Then guests had no option other than to book and stay . Rooms are very dirty. Wash basin tap was not working. There were potty stains in toilet seat . Toilet floor was never cleaned it seemed. Tv was disconnected. Ac was pathetic though was in working condition. No ceiling fan in the room. Room and toilet has no ventilation and was without windows. No intercom . There were cobwebs in every corner. Hotel association and oyo must look into all this before listing this kind of property on to their website.

Unfortunately, aside from its convenient location, this hotel leaves much to be desired. While the location might be ideal, everything else falls short of expectations. The service, amenities, and overall experience were disappointing.If you're considering a stay, be prepared for a less-than-satisfactory experience beyond the benefit of being centrally located.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I had to change 3 rooms and the manager is so greedy he took 600rs extra from me to change my room. Not a single room is clean or maintained. Every room is dirty full of stains and you'll find a Dharamshala better than this hotel. Don't book online, any price above 700 is not worth it for this hotel.

My stay at Hotel Gardenia was terrible. The rooms had leaky ceilings and cockroaches. The staff were extremely rude, especially the receptionist who gave ridiculous excuses about broken locks. Most rooms can't be locked from the outside, compromising safety. During a 20-minute power outage, they had no generator and just asked us to wait. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
