The hotel didn't fulfill our expectations as 3 star hotel. There is only 1 premium room with a view of mountain rests are not. The foods are pathetic. There are very limited options and the taste is pathetic. Any home cook can cook better then their chef( are they really chef! I doubt). The price of the food in comparison to taste is below average. The play room is just equipped with carom and chess. I booked for a discounted price from their website and after 2 days changed the schedule by just adding a day. But instead of taking higher rate for 1 day they charged extra for all days, even though the days were overlapping. Will not visit again. Rather will find similar hotels with this price range and with better services.
The hotel is situated at a walkable distance from cactus nursery (named pine view nursery). Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Washrooms are absolutely stain free. View is awesome though Kanchanjangha pick is not visible from room. Mountain side of the room has no wall but transparent glass window with two layer of curtains. If weather is clear other mountain picks can be visible from bed. The place is far from market and very calm and peaceful. Staffs are very helpful specially the chef Mr. Ramesh. Food are very costly but delicious. The open restaurant has also a great view. We booked view room for 24-25 February 2025. Pros- peaceful environment, helpful staffs, great view, Ideal for couples, Neat and clean rooms with all amenities like room heater, electric kettle, hair drier etc. Cons- Far from market, costly food, no nearby restaurants
1. The waiter was writing on his hand while taking snacks order 2. Spa service was not available. It is not upon the guest but the therapist and his / her availability. 3. Food is worst and over priced. Plain basmati rice is Rs. 295/-soup is tasteless. I vomited twice after having their dinner. 4. Sometimes your need is not heard. They will act as if they r listening but not understanding. May be language but they act as they don't even understand hindi. No sorry for getting things wrong. 5. No lift in the hotel 6. Starting from the reception to the waiters they will make you feel why you peoples are coming here and creating problem for us.because they will not talk not make eye contact not suggest as if we are going and creating nuisance for them. Not good for aged people and zero medical facilities I know the owner and the manager will not take any step to improve. So please visit small cozy homstays in Darjeeling and take your own drivers. Drivers drink and drive and mistreat with family aged people.
I had a great stay! Everything went smoothly, and the hotel was lovely. The food was really good, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The best part was the view from the restaurant--it was absolutely stunning! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing stay.
Disappointing Stay at Summit Lillium Hotel & Spa - Not Worth the Hype I recently stayed at Summit Lillium Hotel & Spa and was left thoroughly disappointed by the experience, which fell far short of the 4-star standards advertised on MakeMyTrip. **Rooms & Facilities:** The rooms were extremely ordinary and lacked any sense of comfort or luxury. Hot water was only available through a slow geyser that took a frustrating 20 minutes to heat up-hardly convenient, especially in colder weather. **Accessibility:** A major issue was the complete lack of a lift, something that was not mentioned anywhere on the MakeMyTrip listing. My elderly parents were forced to climb three flights of stairs every time we needed to access our room. This is a glaring omission and makes the property unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. **Location:** The hotel is located away from the main city, with little to offer in the immediate vicinity except for the Pine View Nursery. This isolation adds to the inconvenience, especially for those wanting to explore the city. **Room Allocation & Views:** Despite the property being relatively empty during our stay, we were given a room with a dismal view. When I raised this with the staff, I was told that rooms booked via MakeMyTrip generally do not have good views. This discriminatory practice is unacceptable and should be clearly communicated to guests at the time of booking. **Service:** Service was indifferent at best. The staff made little to no effort to address our concerns or improve our stay. There was a distinct lack of hospitality, which only added to our disappointment. **Breakfast:** The only redeeming aspect was the breakfast, which was decent but nothing remarkable. **Misleading Ratings:** All the glowing reviews on MakeMyTrip seem highly suspicious and do not reflect the reality of the property. In my opinion, this is at best a 3-star hotel, and advertising it as a 4-star property is misleading. **Final Verdict:** Overall, my experience was very average, and I would not recommend Summit Lillium Hotel & Spa to anyone-especially those booking through third-party platforms or traveling with elderly family members. There are far better options available in the area that actually deliver on their promises.
A good hotel with excellent views. Does not have lift and you have to climb floors for the restaurant as well as reception. It needs renovation and maintenance. There are unwanted smells in the room and corridor.
Though the property is quite good and well maintained like other properties of Summit group, but the location is not that good. It's so far from main market and also their dining area is very small and congested. When the hotel is full with visitors, the dining hall becomes so clumsy. But thanks to the staffs specially the ladies, they are so much efficient that they tried hard to manage everything and clean everything properly View is also quite good.
