Flower Patch Homestay

I had an amazing 2-night stay at Flower Patch Homestay (phlaaoy'aar pyaac) in Kalimpong. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made us feel like family. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfect for both groups and couples. The environment was peaceful, and the service exceeded all expectations. If you're visiting Kalimpong, I highly recommend staying here. It truly made our trip special!

It was awesome experience. I was there for two days. Awesome location beautiful home. Especially the valley side room is stunning. Service is good. If weather is clear you'll see The mighty kumchenjungha from there

A serene homestay in the heart of Kalimpong that can be considered as a hidden gem, located just 5 minutes away from Kalimpong Bus/Taxi Stand. The vibe of this homestay captivated me to the core. Surrounded by lush greenery and flower nurseries and the breathtaking view of Himalayan mountains from the open balcony are bound to transport you to a world of peace & joy. There is also a beautiful pet dog (Mimo), who is always so friendly & greets even unknown visitors with so much energy & warmth. Foods are available but you need to inform the owner in advance. The cottage contained two beds and an attached washroom. I would recommend the homestay to install a few more lights inside the wooden cottage, because the lights were extremely dim during evening/night. Recommended.

Pros: The property is located 10 minutes from the motor-stand so the travel is easy if you are travelling anywhere else in Kalimpong. The distance from the town is walkable, however, the path down to the homestay could be a little challenging for senior citizens. The location is serene and peaceful even though located right near the town. There is a garden and greenery around which you can enjoy if staying for a longer duration. The rooms are very basic, all rooms are well ventilated and offers an unobstructed view of the surrounding neighbourhood and the river if you visit on a clear day. The homestay offers home cooked meals hence you can place an order in advance. Cons: The toilet pot was not clean. Bathroom could have been maintained better. Few basic amenities like a small tube of toothpaste, small bathing soap, toilet paper, small handwash and towel could have been provided for usage of the guests. All these were missing. Hence, please carry these with you.

Amazing stay with Bassant and his family. The location is great, the views are amazing and the whole are where the house is fantastic and well taken care of. And all for a very fair price. Thanks for everything hope to see you soon!.

A quaint place facing the valley, built lovingly using wood, with flowers in garden. It's a steep walk out, to the main market, though short. About 200m. The home food is fantastic and so you may not need to. View out is the best part. Don't look down though

Quiet homestay with a great location and view. It was misty all the time, but that's life sometimes. Close to the centre of Kalimpong with decent food options closeby. Host was friendly but really busy. I'm sure they are great, but especially the first day I felt like I was keeping them from more important things if I'd ask something. Don't get me wrong though, they are kind and friendly. Room was good. Beds were not the most comfortable I've had in India, quite hard. Shower worked well, but the handles gave of an electric buzzing which was very uncomfortable and a bit scary being under the shower. Kept forgetting to mention it to the host, so quite possibly this is not the normal state. I survived it anyways:). Would recommend.
