Jhargram Rajbari Tourist Complex

I recently stayed at the Jhargram Raj Bari Tourist Complex, located just outside the historic Jhargram Palace. My stay was in a deluxe room on the first floor of the main building, and while the overall vibe was pleasant, there were a few areas where the experience could be improved. Room & Amenities: The deluxe room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities fitting a three-star hotel. It was clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing environment. However, considering the higher tariff, I expected a private balcony, which was missing. Despite this, the room was well-maintained and provided all essential conveniences. Service & Atmosphere: The staff was courteous and professional throughout my stay, contributing to the hotel's warm and welcoming atmosphere. The overall vibe of the property was peaceful, and the location near Jhargram Palace added a unique cultural charm. Parking facilities were available, which was a convenient plus for those traveling by car. Dining Experience: The complimentary breakfast was a bit underwhelming. There was limited variety, and the spread was not well-designed - a buffet would have been a more fitting option given the hotel's positioning. Additionally, the absence of fruit juices was noticeable, with only a single fruit (banana) provided. While the food quality itself was acceptable, the portion sizes for other meals did not justify the price point. Overall Impression: Jhargram Raj Bari Tourist Complex offers a comfortable stay with spacious rooms, courteous staff, and a peaceful atmosphere. The location next to Jhargram Palace is a highlight, especially for those interested in exploring the area's heritage. However, for the higher tariff, there is room for improvement in the dining experience--particularly the breakfast offerings--and in providing better value for money.

On our return date, we left the property at around 6:45 am. We had requested The staff the previous night to pack our breakfast if possible. To our pleasant surprise,the staff reached early only to pack our breakfast with utmost care and dedication. The five stars are because of the hardworking and multitasking staff. This sums up our review. There is huge room for improvement. The rooms are overpriced and require urgent refurbishment. Food options are many but most often subject to availability. Campus lighting is inadequate, guest activity options are also limited. The extra cot provided should be accompanied by a mattress. The washroom was spacious and clean but calls for renovation. Cleanliness was satisfactory and location is good.

!!Beware of overpriced custard!! I unknowingly ordered the custard without knowing the price!! It was a good custard until i got to know the price, when i saw the menu after coming in my room. It was severely overpriced. I almost could not believe my eyes!! Other than that they didnt give all the things that were listed in the complimentary breakfast and when i asked for the pickle the waiter told that it had wasnt infact free and it was charged, i dont kmow why did they wrote it in the list of items they would give in complimentary(free) breakfast!! Other than the overpriced food, my stay was quite nice and i found the emu bird quite amusing along with the turkeys. The room was not bad.

The hotel staff is very polite and made an extra effort to keep us comfortable. Even arranged for a special birthday cake for my cousin's birthday. The food was excellent. Despite the name Rajbari tourist complex, the hotel guests cannot visit the Rajbari as that is a private property.

first of all, name of the property should be changed. this property is maintained by WBTDCL jhargram and has nothing to do with the actual Jhargram rajbari. infact there is separate booking arrangements for staying inside the rajbari. hence the naming of the property is misleading and tantamount to scamming. staffs at the reception are full of attitude, pretending as if they are managing the best hotel in the world. room service is slow. food prices and room tariffs are exorbitant. complementary breakfast options are extremely limited. we stayed in ac double bed room and room quality is the only positive experience to take away. Ignore the property if you are planning to stay inside rajbari.

Very good place for weekend trip with family but the only thing is there were lots of lizards in the room..and the our room was full of damp.. Paying 3700 per room excluding gst and rooms were not cleaned properly. So didn't expect this... Staffs were cooperative.food was good..

Poor service. Have been served in cracked/stained ceramic utensils. The complimentary breakfast had been served with cheap bread. The dinner was 10 times costier as compared to the quality of food. Forget about royal treatment. It was kind of street food treatment in royal palace

Had a wonderful stay at Jhargram Rajbari Tourist Complex by WBTDCL. The rooms are very spacious and the property is just magnificent. There are cottages surrounding the pond and you can go on an early morning stroll or a night stroll all around the compound. It is just beside the Jhargram Rajbari and about 15 mins Toto ride from Jhargram Railway Station. Very much recommended for a good staycation in Jhargram. The food is also very good.
