The location is the best and undoubtedly the rooms are filled with royalty and are equally huge but when it comes to maintenance,it's pathetic and especially if you're opting of an extra bed, you'll find mice under the sofa cum bed all day. The food is good but they'll forget to provide your complimentary water bottles but bill you for extra bottles. Please go through the bill thoroughly.

We suspect few Western travelers make it to Jhargram and this place is, in that case, the place to stay. The former royal palace has indeed lots of character. We stayed in the royal guesthouse. And it is royal indeed: a specious veranda leading to an equaly spacious drawing room. At both sides there are bedrooms with a bathroom attached. It's a pity that all the shutters are clamped shut: it would have been even more grand if the light were to be let inside! Also, we enjoyed the Bengali thali we were served here. Having said that, there is room for improvement. The bathrooms are very scruffy and forget about a hot shower: after ten seconds you run out of hot water. We were also a bit taken aback by the staff. Overall, the staff was very friendly, but we found the management to be a bit sullen and they hardly gave off a welcoming air: it took quite some time to be allowed in and the man who received us looked like a merchant interupting his business to 'handle' us as we arrived. Clearly this hotel is not really organised and focussed on being a good host.

Beautiful heritage property, well maintained. I spent a good quality time with my family. Authentic bengali royal thali served which was superb.. If you want to spend a holiday with royal ambience please visit Rajbari.

Appalling conditions of neglect, erosion, and lack of basic needs made our stay in this so-called Palace Heritage Hotel a nightmare (5 - 9 Feb, 2025). The lack of information during the booking of an expensive executive double room and disinterested responses should have been sufficient warning. On arrival we were made to pay the whole amount of money unlike any other hotel so that we would not leave after experiencing intermittent water supply especially at night and when we needed water the most, deplorable living conditions especially the bathroom with slippery floors and little drainage, lack of usual amenities like wifi, intercom, towels, toiletries, terrible management lapses and total indifference and sheer callousness of those who are supposed to be managers. There was no relaxation or enjoyment or relish in the surroundings. We were eager to return home. The owners and managers should be ashamed and the so-called Jhargram Palace Heritage should be avoided.

We stayed in this hotel on 20.1.25 and happy about room and prompt service. The food was tasty. Rooms are modern, neat and clean as it's a new property. Behaviour of hotel staff is cordial.

We visited from 1st to 3rd Jan and enjoyed exceptional hospitality. Special thanks to Rimli for making our stay so memorable. We reached much earlier than check in time, but a room was arranged for us to freshen up. Our allocated room was quite large but dark as the electric lights were dim with no natural light coming in. All staff were polite and helpful, and even brought us fresh date juice early in the morning. Food was very tasty although there wasn't too much choice. The warm hospitality made us feel very welcome and at home. The property is beautiful and conveniently located. Thanks again Rimli for returning my left-behind Aadhar card while I waited at the station.

My friend and I had come for a relaxing holiday to this hotel, thinking we would enjoy the stay. But horror after horror awaited us since the time we checked in. A rude receptionist told us in a peremptory manner that the rest of the 50% of the booking money would have to be paid immediately. We had booked from 5th to the 9 Feb 2025. We wanted to leave a day earlier, but the receptionist told us you can do it, that's your business, but you won't get any refund. Since checking in every day, for 2-3 times the water would run out, even early in the morning. At 3.30 am we had to call the manager to switch on the pump. This is happening every night, apart from the daytime. There is no intercom, no wifi. The service boys are polite, but not the management, who follow the invisible palace owners orders. The bathroom is slippery and water stands for a long time. It's specially dangerous for senior citizens like us. Food is nothing to write home about. There are hardly any options in the menu, but food is expensive. At Rs 6000+720 GST this is not exactly funny, and I wouldn't recommend my close friends ever to come here.

We 3 friends has checked out just 1hr back. We spent this Royal Palace for three days in this Holi festivals. We are overwhelmed by the hospitalities from all the staffs. Palace Manager Mr Biswajit Jana ( always smiling face) seems one time solution. This is a well maintained Royal property. We were so fortunate that we have met 20th ancestor of this Royal family Mr Bikramaditya Malladev. One negetive part must say that you have super food quality but lack of variety. You should try variety of snacks items & Chinese items which people like most apart from Bengali cuisine. Lastly must say we spent our quality times here and wish to come here again. Bye bye... meet you all again n again. Falguni Chatterjee
