Me and my Husband had a sudden plan for Dec'24. Had no idea about hotels at the time of booking Salkumar gate safari. Just went through some random YT videos and got in touch with Mr. Kalu Chetri owner of Rhino in Homestay. Though his hotel was full, he arranged us a room just in opposite of his hotel. We might have stayed in opposite building but he and his son Mr. Ashish Chetri has managed and made our trip memorable. All the foods and conversations with them was amazing. He planned and managed our Bhutan trip for one day also. It was a great experience. I couldn't seriously ask more. They feel like family now

Great homestay. You can not complain about anything. Food is excellent. If you have any spacial request the owner will give 100% to arrange that. Stay was comfortable. Staffs were very helpful. And the most important thing is the owner's behaviour. Such a humble personality.

Excellent hotel with ownership and care of Asish Chetri (Son) and Kalu Chetri (Father). They provide customised tasty food. Clean and welcoming room. Just outside Salkumar Gate and you can avail Jungle safary (both Jeep and Elephant) at just outside hotel.

Right in front of the western gate of Joldapara park, this home stay is located perfectly. You can get out of the home stay and walk literally 10 steps to get your Joldapara safari ride. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The service is best in class by the owner Mr. Kalu Chetri. I will highly recommend his hosting capabilities coz we enjoyed his company. He provided us all superb dishes that we had requested and also gave us valuable suggestions all the while we were at home stay. Book your rooms here without second thoughts.

Pros: 1. This is just outside the Jaldapara national park and gives an excellent view of the jungle. 2. This superb location has helped us to get our tickets for the elephant and jeep safari in time and with convenience. 3. The owner is an excellent man who had guided us in many ways. The staff is also quite efficient and caring. 4. The food is beyond expectation and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Though there was no AC in our room. Cons: 1. Too many insects at night (Not a fault of the Inn and can't really complain once you're right outside a jungle but you need to be careful with little children as there are big bugs and other unknown insects which might be poisonous)

This is a great place to stay. Owner Kalu Chetri was very kind and caring of his guests. Any problems you have he will take care of it personally. Also plus point is the Jaldapara forest back gate is right down from here so you can easily take safaris from here as well. The food here is home cooked but tastes very good. Good workers as well.
