Good Stay Overall, But Toilets Need Serious Attention I recently stayed at IRCTC Sam Path Rail Yatri Niwas and overall, it was a decent experience. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Service was prompt and polite, and the location is very convenient--especially for travelers. Definitely good value for money when it comes to room quality and comfort. However, the toilets were quite disappointing. Some of the taps didn't work, and the doors didn't close properly, which was frustrating. The western toilets lacked proper jet spray pressure--you basically have to use a jug like in an Indian-style toilet, which defeats the purpose. If they improve the washroom facilities, this place would easily be one of the best budget stays around.

I had a stay here for one night. They only allow for one night stay, with both to and fro confirmed tickets. I stayed in a dormitory. It had 9 beds, with attached small cupboard. It had 3 wash basins, 3 bathrooms, 1 Indian style commode and 2 western style commode. No handwash or soaps are there, kindly carry your own if you need. Rooms and bathroom area was neat clean. Blankets are available, if needed you can ask for it free of cost. The only down side is staff here ask for tips when you enter into the room. And there is no service by the staff, no complimentary water bottle or anything. If you want to stay for one night in Howrah, this is definitely a good option in comparison to hotels available in Howrah.

It is first class waiting room for passengers.It is situated on the first floor of the historic Howrah Station old building. You can get a beautiful view of Hooghly river and nostalgic Howrah Bridge from the balcony. It is a reasonably good place to wait for your train.

Firstly, I loved the ease of being within the railway compound. Made it very easy to catch the train. Food options were also available within the station, so, being within the same building made it very easy for me. Secondly, service was decent enough, the staff won't do anything but just take the receipt and give the keys to he locker, and ask for tips, WEIRED! Lastly, the receptionist (booking counter), was very rude, he's behavior was like, as if, I was asking him to let me stay for free! Date - 20/01/25, whoever was there in the booking counter from 7 - 8 PM, was really very rude. Didn't explain me properly, as the 9 - 9 check-in and check-out was new to me. Other than that, it was good! Ease of travel was really what I wanted. But be ready to face that one particular receptionist at the booking counter.

Dormitory and personal rooms available. However, please carry the needed amenities like soap handwash etc, they do not provide such items. Dormitory is budgetary.

Horrible experience! They didn't give out room just because I'm staying with a girl!? I told them that my train is 5 hours delayed and she's disabled, yet they showed no mercy. Retard and cheap counter staff. I wish the same happen with their daughter!

Only offline booking is available. The infrastructure and services of all staff, from reception to service boys, were excellent. Tips given to service boys may not be reflected in the system. Online booking of only Howrah yatri niwas presently not working in website.

It's located mid old and new platform complexes of howrah station. Best is to approach them directly at the reception. I didn't find an online or phone option to book a room. Room was very spacious, neat and clean, with basic facilities. I didn't know that one has to inform them for hot water. Anyways it was good stay for just a few hours. But cost is high. I paid 1000 to stay for 6 hours.
