Gangani Eco Tourism and resort.

Visiter on 27th December, 2024. Check in experience is horrible and most unprofessional. Basically no reception desk. Intolerable behaviour of the responsible incharge while check in . Any queries is being reciprocated with absolute rude behaviour. Property is very good. Day time the property is open for all with nominal entry fee. Hence no serenity throughout the day while you stay. Best time to enjoy from 6.00 pm to next early morning. Very poor service and maintenance. However, restaurant service is very polite and friendly.

It's a picnic spot, winter is the best time to visit, may visit in monsoon also, we stayed here for a night, meals are okay, basic amenities are available

19th January 2025 We visited rasonabilas restaurant for breakfast which inside of this resort ( gangani tour ) . The service is lagging, takes an hour to serve parath , bhatura, egg chicken chow. Finally at a price parath cost 30 ( no complementary sabhj), bhatura cost 50 ( no complementary chole ) , egg chicken chow cost 150 ( not enough for one person ). They serve " ghugni" which is cost 30 ( not enough for 1 person). They called it a fine dining restaurant which is basically not. Some tables and chairs just placed.

Gangani Eco Tourism has accommodation with a restaurant, in the same promises you can find the picnic place , except during peak season you can enjoy your leisure time, rooms are named with various rivers. Without booking of room you have to pay rs. 5 for entry the promise. Nicely decorated with various flowers & seasonal vegitables.

Attached photos will give you the information of contact for booking cottages.. Well I have not stayed here, just visited the spot for 1 hour and explore the place. Staying here for 1 day is enough..place is located at the top and from there you can have the 360 view of the canyon and the adjoining silaboti river. In front of the resort you will get temporary shops of tea, cold drinks, chips, ice cream etc basically the packaged foods and drinks. No proper restaurant to enjoy any kind of cuisine. If u want to take yourself for a solitude trip the u can visit here. No sound in surrounding. Visiting with group will better to enjoy the place. You can do bonfire, play your own games and do other activities Tip: visiting on whole moon night will add additional experience. This resort is situated by the grand canyon at Gangani just adjacent to the river Shilabati. This resort is spread ove an area of several acres with a lush of greens, cottages, dormitory, restaurant, watch tower, picnic spot etc. They have four nice cottages namely Shilabati, Kangsabati, Subarnarekha and Dulung which are all the names of different rivers. The cottages are quite spacious with a very high ceiling with skylight. The room should include toiletries for all the travellers including the required number of towels and soaps etc. Every cottage has a balcony where the view is really enjoyable. The washroom is also quite spacious and neat and clean, but the bathing area is placed after the toilet area which is a little awkward. The bed is comfortable and easily shareable between two or maximum three persons. They also have a dormitory of 10 beds which is non AC. They have recently opened their restaurant where delicious foods from Bengali, Chinese, tandoor etc are served. The prices of the food items are quite reasonable and quality and quantity wise also are very good. Since the resort is situated by the river Shilabati, one can enjoy its magical view from the rooms itself. The hotel was earlier known as the picnic spot at Gangani, now it is turned out to be the most beautiful place to stay at this place. The ambience inside the hotel premise is really enjoyable, it is full of gardens, Swings, slips etc. One of the main attractions of this place is its watch tower which has an amazing panoramic view of the surroundings from the top. Also, the resort has some nice cosy seats for the tourists to rest outside the rooms which are very nice. The check in experience has to be little better with faster response time against Online booking. The hotel staff members are very cordial and warm in their welcome. The key person there Mr. Faruk Md is such a gentleman who takes care of the comfort level and experience of the travelers.

Beautiful resort and very much comfortable....we reached here today morning. Never thought that such a cosy and comfortable place with much cordial staffs are waiting at our service....we are staying at Dulung cottage.....The view of River Shilabati and the canyon is awesome from the balcony....please visit this place. I m sure that a weekend trip will be memorable for you for a long time.... Today, 14th April 2024, second night we spent on Gangani Eco Tourism Resort....tomorrow we will leave around afternoon....Thanks to all of the staffs working here....specially Asish Mukherjee da....he took special care of our.....food is also very tasty. Very clean room and washroom.....we have visited all surrounding places.....hope to see you all again PROBABLY IN DECEMBER 24 again.....till then MANY MANY THANKS AND ALL THE BEST FROM MY END

Very good infrastructure but without functioning. Restaurant also closed. No maintenance eventually will destroy everything. It's an inappropriately planned disaster damaging natural environment. Only watch tower with fantastic 360 degree view is a gem. Felt sorry for this wastage of taxpayers money.
