Sheldon Resort & Spa

I have stayed for 1 day with my husband there and checked in on 29th March, 2025. Overall experience was good. Hotel staff were very friendly. They shared with us many interesting anecdotes about the place. There is a very old building structure inside hotel complex which has witnessed many famous bengali film shootings and star personalities in past. Next morning, after having breakfast we checked out. Breakfast was quite good.

Please do not go to this place.. I visited along with my family and friends, I felt paranormal activities around the place and also it took a toll on my kid. Service is too bad only 4 members managing whole resort .. At night you can't go down because of Pet dogs and I felt they don't let because they are aware of the paranormal activities going on in the resort. Please be safe and don't visit. Power cuts happen multiple times with no backup , Food is worse and oily with no options as such.

We had a wonderful time in the resort which is new and still in the making. The hospitality of the hosts really touched us and made up for a little something lacking here and there. Food is very fresh and good, so are the rooms. Bathrooms are spacious but need a little work with the maintenance. Overall I'll give a 4.5 out of 5 to them. But I would particularly like to mention the services of Kingshuk, Anjan and Moloy who made our stay very comfortable with minute attention to every detail.

Sheldon Resort and Spa at Falta presents itself as an enticing getaway, boasting a charming decor that truly sets a relaxing ambiance. The aesthetic appeal of the resort is undeniable, with well-maintained grounds and tastefully decorated common areas that make for a visually pleasant stay. However, this initial charm quickly dissipates upon experiencing the resort's significant shortcomings. The most notable issue is the size of the rooms. Despite the lovely decor, the rooms are uncomfortably small, leaving little space to move around or store personal belongings. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury destination, the cramped quarters are a glaring oversight that significantly detracts from the overall experience. Worse still is the behavior of the owner, particularly an individual named Shiwam Singh. The interactions with Mr. Singh were not just unpleasant but outright hostile. A specific incident involved an erroneous charge for food that was never delivered to us. When we challenged this charge and requested to verify their claims with CCTV footage, they were unable to provide any evidence. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Mr. Singh argued vehemently and dismissively, making the experience distressing and uncomfortable. Customer service is a critical component of any hospitality business, and unfortunately, Sheldon Resort and Spa fails miserably in this regard. The management's inability to handle disputes amicably and their failure to provide transparency severely undermines the resort's otherwise positive aspects. In summary, while the Sheldon Resort and Spa at Falta may catch your eye with its beautiful decor, the small rooms and the extremely poor behavior of the management, particularly Shiwam Singh, make it a place I cannot recommend. The negative customer service experience overshadows the potential enjoyment of the resort's aesthetic and amenities. I am late to post the review we visited here on 12th August 2023.

Property osom. staff behaviour and food quality very nice. And swimming pool net and clean.

A perfect weekend destination. If you are looking for one to two days trips, Sheldon resort is the place to be. The calmness and serenity of the place will rejuvenate you entirely. A perfect place away from hustle bustle of the city.. The staff and management are very nice. The quality of the food is awesome. The rooms are of quality standard. The river is two min walk from the resort. Dont miss the sunset from the river view point.

We group of three family visited this resort this month.Overall experience is very nice and recomendable to others.Location is in bit outskirts,if you are new on this way it's little confusing but except this everything is superb. Kids enjoyed small play area and pool.Adults had scope to play indoor outdoor games.Moreober it's a big place to take photos with nature in this resort itself.And ganga riverside is very near ,you can avail Toto and explore. Food is almost home style and they are ready to serve you as per your requirement. Small also they have arranged for us. So, quite activity full time we have passed here and had a leisure time from our work full busy schedules. Thank you
