The Ritz - Durgapur

I had a disappointing experience during check-in at Hotel Ritz, Durgapur. Despite the average fare listed on Google, I was quoted an extremely high rate by the current lady manager at the front desk (Dated: 17 May, 2025). When I questioned the discrepancy, instead of addressing the concern professionally, I was kept waiting for over 30 minutes without any clear communication or resolution. The attitude and handling of the situation were far from what one would expect from a reputed hotel. This lack of transparency and poor guest service at reception left a negative first impression, and I sincerely hope the management works on improving their customer service and pricing clarity going forward.

Worst experience ever. Lift was not working and they directly denied to turn on the lift. Reception guy was talking very rudely and shouted on us. Room was very smelly and bedsheet was not cleaned and denied to change it. Fan, tap was not working. No telephone to contact the receptionist and ask for anything.

Stopped at this place for food on the way to kolkata. Horrible experience. Stale food, to cover up it was made spicy and was tasteless. It's not worth the money paid.

One of the best hotels in Durgapur. World class facilities at a cheap and reasonable cost. Although their lift is not functioning they have other alternatives ready. I would recommend everyone to visit this hotel.

The best hotel in Durgapur. Their food tastes amazing, their bengali cuisine is the best. They have all the facilities too starting from lift to 24*7 power backup. Excellent ambience too.

Room is ok. Door lock was not working. The receptionist refused to fix it and fixed after repeated calling. Was very rude. Bathroom was not cleaned properly. Room is ok for just one night's sleep.

Kind of ok...not that great. Rooms has no ventilation and sheets are torn and old.

I visted here while i was on my trip to IOCL Durgapur. One of the best hotels with all facilities at a cheap and an affordable cost. The need for Durgapur. The staff here is too good, well behaved.
