Hotel Dolphin, Near Old Digha Beach - Restaurant and Banquet Hall

Good experience... Booked executive ac room for 2 days. AC was good & the room was clean and big and spacious. Food was good... No sea view. They have queen size bed and they have given us an extra single bed. Staffs were good. Tips to be given as usual... Overall

During our recent visit to Digha, we stayed in Hotel Dolphin for 2 days and the experience was very good. The hotel is located very near to Old Digha sea beach (2-3 mins walking distance). Though the hotel is very old, the rooms were very clean and well-maintained, equipped with all the modern amenities. The staff were extremely well behaved and professional. Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The food served at their restaurant, The Bite, were exceptionally good. Hope to come back soon.

I have stayed here for 2 days with my family. The rooms the food the service... Let's say overall experience was beautiful. We have enjoyed a lot in that hotel.. They have beautiful lawn with 4 swings (my favorite part) 4 benches where everyone can enjoy the evening and a big reception. The food was tastiest with great quantity. The price is little bit high but the hospitality was worth it. The room was clean... The bed sheets were clean. Best stayed till now.

We booked a non-AC room in this hotel. The room was absolutely not okay, it had rats, no kit was provided, the bed cover was having stains, RO water was provided (though it is not a problem), the balcony was having water dripping from the above floor, room service phone was not working. The restaurant was also more expensive than the food quality. Overall the stay was bad compared to the price I have paid for. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Update: Post the feedback housekeeping staff came for check-in. Though it is required to mention here, that regarding the stain in bed and phone issue, I have not informed them earlier. It is not completely their fault. Hence editing the rating to 3. However, it is important for any reputed hotel to check rooms before guest checking by any senior officials. So I feel the behaviour and response of the person in reception were not welcoming.

Stayed at their two bedroom AC cottage for two days and it was a homely, blissful experience. Perfect for two small families, a total of 5-6 people. The hall also has a sofa cum bed for extra sleeping space. The rooms are quite spacious with all amenities. Service was very good, restaurant serves delicious, homely food. Location is also perfect, a 2-3 min walk will take you to a quieter, secluded section of the Old Digha shoreline. Another 5 mins will take you to the main market area of Old Digha. The property is not exactly beach front but that also means that it's quieter and more homely. Would fully recommend this property to anyone looking to spend a few slow days in Digha. Don't forget to play with their resident pet in their peaceful lawn :)

Pros: Budget friendly hotel with clean room and toilet. Good food, we loved it. Clean and maintained garden. Service is appreciated. Very close to beach just 2 minute walk. Cons: Rooms need maintenance, specially the furnitures like sofa needs replacement. Toiletries were missing. Missed wifi.

Rooms (803 & 804) are spacious however old property. Located at walking distance from Old Digha sea beach, however guest will not be able to view sea from the balcony of the room. Food is costly and quality is very poor even rotten boiled rice served at Lunch. Charged extra (Rs.1,100/- for 2 days) for my 10 years daughter and forced fully placed extra bed for her. AC not working properly at room no. 804 which is bigger compare to room no. 803. Parking space is available for up to 7- 8 vehicle. Garden is well maintained. Took cash Rs.50/- towards Digha Development Fees without any payment receipt.

The stay in the Dolphin hotel was awesome. We booked the hotel for two days. 807 and 808 room was allocated to us. I will suggest to take this two rooms as the view is very good from this rooms. The food was excellent and service was very good. Every day they came for cleaning the room and also to change the bedsheet. Before asking everything was provided. All together it was a great stay.
