Bishnupur River Side Resort

Had a great stay out here! Surrounded by quaint landscapes, rustic farmlands of Subhaspally with courteous and friendly hotel staff, this resort is an ideal weekend retreat from Kolkata. Not to mention the modern yet subtle and ethnic aesthetic. Definitely recommend!

Don't stay in this place...food cost is more than 3 times against the normal price. Isolated place to stay (8-9 km) away from the locality. The owner's behaviour is not good. Don't have any shops nearby or to roam around. Family people please stay away from this place and there are no river rather it's a nala/drain on the backside. Worst road, you have to cross broken bridge (safety issues). No street lights. Cheap business policy from hotel management.

Dont stay here, isolated place (7-8 km away) from locality or market place, cheap management's business policies, too costly food which are even costlier than most of the good restaurants in kolkata. The river is not like river rather nala or drain, no street lights to go out post evening. Stay away from this place.

Overall, very good stay here. Brand new, just opened as of December 2023. Service and food is very good, the caretakers are very hospitable. Basic menu, but cook will made according your needs. Rooms and furnishings are also good and clean, though the tap was leaking a bit. Location is a bit far from Bishnupur, about 20-25 min. drive from hotel to main city and temple areas. The last road to the hotel is a bit rough to drive on but otherwise okay.

It feels less of a resort and more of home. The hospitality of the staff was heart touching. The rooms are pretty good with all the modern facilities available. The best part is the food. They have limited options but they will customize it according to your requirements. Pricing was reasonable. The "desi chicken" is a must try! In fact they have a lawn outside where they grow fresh fruits and vegetables, which you can try. The swimming pool is decent. Overall it was a surreal experience. The only drawback is the location. It's pretty far away from the main highway and Bishnupur town. The last stretch of road is very narrow and topsy turvy. I'll definitely recommend this resort. Cheers!

Worst place to be in bishnupur, don't stay here as it's not river side rather canal, location is isolated side. Owner behavior is rude and treat guest very badly

The rooms are very nice but having difficulty in breakfast no option other than 1/2 item staff were good enough and the location is nice but its too much far away from city and tourist area
