Sunderban Tiger Camp- Wildlife Resort (fully vaccinated staff)

Excellent hospitality right from the reception at Kolkata airport to the time we came back. we really enjoyed the tranquil boat rides and the serene atmosphere at the resort. The administration tried their best to entertain us with cultural functions and different varieties of food too. In all we enjoyed thoroughly and feel like coming here again in the future

We are Vegetarian family members of seven taken their Service. All details were shared well in advance for our 2 Night and. 3 days trip. All went well as per the itinerary with no delays starting from picking us in Kolkatta to dropping us back to Kolkatta. Our sincere appreciation to all the staff who took care of us seamlessly. ||Guides picked us at Kolkatta, In the camp and the one who travelled with us during the ferry boat safari was knowledgeable and interactive. ||Special care were taken by the resort for our Vegetarian food all time during our stay. Rooms was spacious, clean and comfortable.||We thank this opportunity to thank resort Manager Mr.Swarup and his entire team for taking good care of us.||Looking forward for our next visit in near future. ||We recommend Sundarban Tiger camp.

Excellent place to stay while in Sunderbans. The resort is very close to the jetty. Check in was smooth. In general all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious. The food is very delicious. The property is fantastic and a great place for birding. Areas for improvement * Provide better lighting in the room * Provide a better variety for desserts

Our group of three opted for the 2-night all inclusive experience starting from pick-up to drop-off at designated spot in Kolkata. Carriage was well-arranged, including the 2-hour boat ride to Dayapur Island where the resort is located. The resort is well appointed, the ambience combining rural rusticity with the usual mod-cons. Rooms have good mattresses & pillows; electric kettle; bedside reading lamps are of adequate wattage; there is air-conditioning. Every evening a cultural show was organised ('tho' we were disappointed not to see the "Bon Bibi Jatra" which we were expecting). Waxpol's ethos of involving the locals is to be commended. They have built up a body of staff who provide warm and homely hospitality.||Meals, served buffet style, are freshly made, varied and tasty. Cuisine is Pan-Indian (primarily Bengali); the crab dishes & tandoori fare were also very good; we did not care for the Indian Chinese meal. The resort has a bar.||Our package included boat safaris to different parts of the Sundebans. There were 2 trips everyday which were extremely enjoyable. We learned a lot about the Mangrove species & the general habitat of the region from the knowledgeable guide provided by STC. We saw a variety of flora, fauna and birds and the sunsets were stunning! But no tiger spotted - perhaps because our boat could access the narrow creeks & water-ways. [Advice for visitors - take a separate small-boat tour if time permits!] Strangely, despite not seeing a tiger, I felt little disaapointment- the tranquility of the place & the ever-shifting scene of the appearing & disappearing Mangroves was enough to bequiled me.||An area where immediate attention/improvement is required: the stairs leading down to the waterside has no handrails, are uneven & narrow.

We actually had a nice stay here. The rooms are pretty basic but clean enough. The staff were all good, the food was good and the manager was attentive. ||We enjoyed our stay here. It was tranquil, and the surroundings were beautiful. The highlight of our trip was being able to see a tiger.

We were a group of 6 couples. We really enjoyed the food and the remote setting. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were comfortable (with AC) for the one night we were there. We enjoyed learning about the unique area and seeing birds, deer and monitor lizards. Take your binoculars!

The camp was well manned. Staff & GM were attentive & helpful. Food was wholesome & tasty. Ambience suitable.the rooms were large & comfortable. Bath mats would have been in order. Otherwise kettles & cups in rooms were good. Would recommend it highly to people interested in visiting the Sunderbans Mangrove Forest. Boats comfy& the waters in the rivers& the delta in pristine condition

We had the pleasure of staying at Sunderbans Tiger Roar Resort, and it was an absolute delight! The resort's serene location on the backwaters is breathtaking. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The food is delicious, with a lovely breakfast spread to start the day. Lunch on the boat was a unique and enjoyable experience, and dinner back at the resort was a wonderful way to unwind. The resort's staff were warm and welcoming, ensuring our stay was memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Sunderbans Tiger roar Resort for its tranquil atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and excellent hospitality.
