The Silver Spring

An excellent homestay in a serene location with a wide angle view of the Kanchenjunga and the toy trains meandering below. Good food and caring hospitality by Mr. Thotchen Lama and his staff. Mr. Lama's recommendation of an excellent eatery called Bonneys left us well satiated and not regretting that we didn't visit Glenarys, Keventers or Kunga. It was indeed a great experience and we look forward to visiting soon again.

The position of the homestay will help to enjoy the view of Darjeeling city. The wide range of the city is clearly seen from here, especially the beauty of the night with full of dazzling lights. The Kanchanjangha is also clearly visible from the homestay. The food is also very homely. Breakfast is complementary. The behavior of Thochen Lama is very good. They provide car service to drop and pick up also. So come here and enjoy your holidays remarkably.

This is a top class home stay. The location is somewhat far but you can enjoy as you like . Tochen Lama will take care of you , like better than anyone . High speed internet, awesome window view room, near and clean property. Foods and tea which are very good . What more do you want!! He provides pick and drop service also , one free ride but others at nominal rate. His service and rooms are so good that even before completing of trip , we are giving 5 star reviews . Don't go and look after any homestay or hotel. The window view of Mountain range at morning is also too good

Very good ambience.. love the scenery..(mainly the view of Kanchenjunga mountain in the morning and the toy train passing the streets below). I was very comfortable with all things. The owners are very polite and good.. taking care of every little things which I felt like I was in home.. miss this homestay.. Owner of this homestay Mr Thochen Lama is very well behaved person ,food is good ,hospitality is also appreciable..Kanchenjunga view from the room and the from the hall was amazing..if anyone wants to come Darjeeling this is the best place I would suggest ..

Wow! This is one of the best place to spend you holidays in Darjeeling. Forget these scam negative reviews. I visited this place with my kids and my hubby. No problem at all everything was fine and the hospitality was superb. The main thing is the view. You can see the entire Darjeeling along with kanchenjunga range. Do visit this place. It's a good hone stay. The owner is awesome

This place made my trip a lot more memorable as the location of homestay was great , walk to the hotel is even more exciting and fun. From the home stay one can enjoy great views. The place is so home like that you feel like going out. The owner is really hospitable he cooperated even before we arrived there by answering our doubts, Even helped us booking taxis. Overall loved everything about this place will definitely visit again some time. Stayed here lst month for 3 nights , and not a single complain we have. The ambiance was also great and clean.
