Sherpa International Heritage by Anant Hotels

I stayed at Sherpa International Heritage Hotel in Darjeeling for 3 days during my honeymoon with my wife. While the hotel has some positives, there were several issues that made our stay less than satisfactory. Positives: * The location of the hotel is decent, and it offers a good view of Kanchenjunga from certain spots, which we appreciated. * The room design is appealing to the eye at first glance. Negatives: 1. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was below standard. The cupboards were not properly cleaned, which was disappointing. 2. Facilities: The TV in the room was non-functional due to a lack of recharge. Having a TV just for show is not acceptable for a hotel claiming a certain standard. 3. Service: The reception desk was often unattended, making it difficult to get immediate assistance when required. 4. Food Quality: We only had breakfast at the hotel, and it was not up to the mark. The quality and taste were far below expectations. 5. Staff Availability: There seemed to be a lack of staff presence overall, which affected the overall experience. I cannot recommend this hotel for booking based on my experience. While the view and location are good, the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and inadequate facilities overshadow any positives.

Cleanliness - 1/10 , room corners and floor are very dirty , only clean bedsheet doesnt makes you comfortable. Water supply - 2/10 , water supply drops , please top up your bucket first , then go for potty , otherwise you will have to use your handkerchief.Even handwash is not availaible. Food - 4/10 , better to go out . Room Service - 0/10 Greeting - 2 / 10 , no one will even ask for any greet. One can opt for some other home stay / hotel but if you want to ruin your trip you may visit here. If shirpa international is reviewing my ratings , kindly improve these. Thanking you.

We stayed in this hotel from 30th April to 3rd May, 2025 and had a very good experience.The room, dining room and kitchen were clean, service was good and behaviour of the staff was exceptional. The hotel is highly recommended.

Superb experience..Very beautiful rooms with excellent service specially of the house staffs named- Pintu from Malda and Shiba, two young guys always at your service irrespective of their rest and sleep. Even the manager was also very friendly and helpful. Foods are also very tasty, less spicy and yummy. Overall my family trip was excellent with Sherpa International Darjeeling. Must visit this place with family and friends. Great idea to stay in this hotel and budget friendly as well. They also provide cars service if you ask them.

My experience in this hotel was horrendous. Never expected such rude behaviour from the staff on our first day. After checking into our room on 23rd December evening, we were extremely displeased with the maintenance, we found stains on the bedsheet,bedcover the floors dirty we did ask the staff to change the sheets but they brought even dirtier bedcovers. When asked about it they claimed it was machine stains. The managers came in and started telling us that we had to adjust as this hotel was not our home and i quote "eta apnar barir moton hobe na, apni tahole j.w marriot e giye thakben" (meaning: you can't get accommodations u get in your home, if u have that much problem stay in hotels like J.W Marriot).Eventually we decided to spend the rest of the night in the room in the dirty bedsheets We had also asked for extra pillows as there were 2 in the room which were extremely extremely thin but they denied anyway. The staff said and i quote "ekhon amader hobe na amader aro border acche tader dekhte hobe" (meaning; we don't have time for this right now we have many other guests to look after) Nevertheless we had booked room number 204, which had an attached verandah and got a clear view of the Kanchanjangha. (only good thing there i guess) My point is Sherpa was disappointing. We decided to check out on the 26th December when we booked it, but we checked out on 24th December .

The hotel was good. All the staffs are helpful especially Pintu...the manager was also quite jolly ...food should be taken care of a little ......also the views from this hotel are so nice

Sorry to say this is not a hotel at all we along with others family members faced horrific 18 hrs in this hotel on 14/10/24. We booked this property through an agent 3 rooms with dinner and breakfast for one day. We checked in at 3 pm and the staff told us that due to water crisis We would not be able to use toilet and latrine till 5 pm and after demanding water they gave a bucket of water for one room and promised us for Normal water supply by 5 pm but the water became available at around 8 pm with thin thread like flow from only one tap. Whenever we went to complain the staffs behaved very rudely each time they told us that all the nearby hotels had been suffering from same crisis but when we enquired to the guests of others hotel all the people told us that water supply for toilet and latrine was normal.The situation worsened at 10.50 pm when we went to have our dinner we saw that food was insufficient then guests of other rooms complaint about the quantity and quality of food and still the staffs along with managers argued with us and hot exchange of words happened when they started to threat the guests we collectively decided to call the police in the meantime they served us half- boiled fried rice with raw vegetables and soup of chilli chicken which were not eatable at all.Police came in the meantime they called plumber and started to normalise water problem. We put our views to the police and police ensured us that no nuisance would happen from the staff After the departure of police nothing happened and the manager committed us for serving good early Breakfast in the morning but we lost the zeal to spend the leisure in this situation,We went to the bed and next morning left the hotel at 10.30 without taking tea and breakfast. So beware of booking the hotel enquired all the issues and then decide,also the rooms and toilets were filthy with odour. So please verify and book the property.

Very very bad. Rooms are dirty smelly. No proper entry point for hotel. Very very bad. Horrible experience
