Muscatel Springburn

I had a terrible experience staying at Muscatel Springburn. At the time of booking, they bluffed about alotting valley view room on availability and secured the booking. But upon arriving at hotel I got to know they never had any valley view rooms. Even after raising my concern, no help was provided. Coming to the experience of the road facing rooms, it is very very noisy due to the busy road and my old parents couldnot sleep well in the night. All together, it was a pathetic experience and i dont recommend it at all.

Exactly located in mall road. 2 min walking from Kev's, on the same mountain level. Got great view from my room. Bathroom was clean and hot water service was there. Room service of food was available and it was great. Will visit again.

Old building renovated only the interiors on average. Rooms are decent , service is pathetic. The only plus point i would say is the location in the city where the Mall road is very near. I would say Muscatel group's service is pathetic either it is in Gangtok or Darjeeling. Better to avoid this group itself for booking.

The room was filled with a disgusting smell upon entering. The beddings, pillows had stains on it. The service was unbelievable. We had asked for an extra mattress for 600 but it never arrived. We also asked for 2 water bottles but it arrived after 2 hours upon ordering.

We paid around 3700 INR/night for a deluxe room for 3 days. The room was not worth more than 2K/night. It's very small. Do not get duped by the pictures that you see on the internet and various booking websites. Hot water is not present in the wash basin but only in the shower area. For such a huge sum of money, they are not giving the basic amenities. Beds are not clean. We asked for the tissue rolls twice, and every time they ended up giving half the tissue roll. What's with the budget cut on such trivial things. I have stayed at Muscatel in Gangtok as well, but this one was horrible. Would like to stay away from Muscatel for a while, till business falls into the right hands

Great hotel, and I highly recommend it. We stayed there for 3 days. The staffs are very generous and always give quick response. They cleaned our the room within 5 minutes after we told them to. Additionally, my wife had an allergic reaction to something and told the hotel to change the bed sheets, pillow covers, blanket cover, and towel. The staff did it swiftly within a couple of minutes. The rooms are clean and it's a great location. Less than 5 minutes walk from the Mall Road

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The hotel is located near the Clock Tower and just 5 mins walking from Mall Road. The hotel gives you the best view of Kanchenjunga. The rooms have all the required amenities. Keventer's, Glenarys and Mahakal Restaurant (if you are in search of authentic bengali food) are within 100 metres of the hotel. The pictures of Kanchenjunga that you will find here are all taken from the hotel room. It also gives you a sunset viewpoint.

Very good location. Rooms are clean & spacious. Restaurant service has to improve.
